Hi Everyone, I’m selling my Sennheiser EW 100 G4 Wireless Instrument System with Ci1 (E Band) £400 - including UK postage I’ve used this once live and less than a handful of times in a pre-prod environment. Owned for a couple of years and it lived in a rack. Complete with all original parts, plus the extra rack components for mounting and a couple of extra right angle cables for the body pack. Cheers!

What's the next collectable on the second hand marketthen?
Burns-bass replied to la bam's topic in General Discussion
On the flip side, when dealing with premium products the cost of manufacturing is just part of the overall calculation. The price isn’t set as a percentage over manufacturing and marketing (as it would be on a production run instrument) but simply what they believe the market will bear. Everyone knows that these short run instruments aren’t going to be gigged night after night but to boost the ego of the buyer and as speculative investment pieces. Whats mad is that the limited edition price isn’t twice that of a genuine late 70s Stingray. Madness. -

Nice. I much prefer the look of this XD compared to the more utilitarian looking older ones.

And if people keep doing this then more guitar shops cease to exist, just saying...

Huge Hands started following ACG Sound Samples/Demos?
-
All I can add to this is that I met up with @eude and @Merton a good few years ago and they both kindly let me have a try of their ACGs. I felt like a bit of a poor relation handing my trusty old Squier over to them in exchange! I am a bit of a traditionalist and (perhaps stupidly) prefer the look of a painted P or J bass to these works of art so not sure they would be for me, but the one thing I did take away from the trial was the low B strings on them and how good they felt/sounded. PS - I know Alan's newer Retro series is closer to the traditional look, but there is also the fact that I'd never get a custom purchase past the Bank of Mrs HH.....

Juan can definitely still play, and he still is, although it's all studio stuff now and at his own pace. It's pretty much everything else around playing and being in a band that he struggles with now after his accident, and his life has had to slow down considerably. It sounds like a lot of the money he's hoping to raise will be going to various charities, and I'm sure he'll be hanging on to a few favourite bits of gear (noting that none of his Nordstrand Cats, his old Racer X Ibanezes or any of his vintage Fenders are among the mentioned items).

Buying directly from Musicman's store for the same bass gets you at roughly the UK prices. You could custom order a fretless... https://design.music-man.com/SR4
-
This is a good point, and I think you're right. I'll stick with the B series and EQ01. Not a bad idea to reach out to Aaron regarding pickup options. The possibilities are a little mind boggling. I'll give that a shot. If only I could try playing every possible configuration 🫠

As a fretless player, Pino and then later on John Giblin were my hero's when I was learning bass and I've even had punters say my playing is similar or they can tell the influence. I've had fretted and fretless Stingray's in the past and I really struggle to get on with them. The fretless worked the best for me and despite sounding great, played great with incredible build quality, when I pick up a fretless Jazz, it just sings more and suits me better. I am simply more comfortable and creative with a fretless jazz. I still wouldn't say no to one of the cheaper fretless Pino Stingrays as they are going to be wonderful basses but its not something I am willing to spend £3.5k on. The fact EBMM have released these bases, despite being between 20-40 years too late is a huge positive as they will be out in the field and available second hand which is when I may go for one.

Been called a lot worse...

Video might be tough. However, I'll take some pics of the event. Daryl

I will as I've bought eleven of them. You are talking about the Tino Talladino being played at the Pickled Prout?
-
Tbf I don’t think they discriminate the spending

I look at it and go 'Holy cr*p, how much???' Seems a reasonable rating system to me! So good case in point. A canadian dingwall considering the work put in and the wages required etc, yes its expensive but not excessively so. But the new indonesian dingwalls, yes, way overpriced, considering the costs to make those and indonesian average wages. -

I like my Empress Bass Compressor It's another set and forget compressor with the bonus of lots of flashing LEDs to meter the signal.

I would hope they had worked that bit out quite early!
