I wonder if a rubber washer would work? anyway that doesn’t help me work out my Mutron/meatbox/Mutron with proton features/mf101 build thing!!
  3. I doubt there are much better basses than the import Laklands for the price. I am hugely impressed. GLWTS
  4. The sputtery high gain/boost tones it gets have a very Harmonic Percolator vibe to me, never played the real thing but I did briefly have the EAE Dude Incredible version. Maybe if it’s still here by pay day… 😂
  5. I'm putting my Mountainking Megalith up for sale. It really is billed by Mountainking as the ultimate doom fuzz heaviest fuzz in the galaxy bass fuzz and it is indeed an absolute belter of a bass fuzz. It really is the Gandalf Edition too; I ordered directly from Alan and was given a choice of white or grey knobs to choose my Gandalf. It really didn't like having its photo taken against my table-top (fair enough) so I've included the picture I took for Instagram (which is why there's one photo with a grey background). It's in great shape and full-working order. I'll cover UK postage by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
  6. Yeah all the demos sound pretty special, especially paired with a Model feT or Kuro Exegol or something. GLWTS!
  7. Tech Soundsystem ND410S. But that would depend on your definition of "cheap", it would be more than £50. Tech speakers turn up on BC now and again. There's an Ashdown 4x10 on Ebay at the moment, £75 start, £140 BIN, with a 300W Behringer head. IIRC they're lighter than the depleted-uranium lined Trace Elliot cabs.
  8. I'm putting my Kink Dozer Fuzz up for sale. This absolute monster is based on the Shin-Ei 8TR Fuzz Wah and is intended for use with bass. It's extremely violent but musical and I don't recall playing another fuzz like it. I ordered this unit from Australia to try it out. It's in great shape and full-working order. I'll cover UK postage by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
  9. If you can, get an Octoprint server setup. A cheap PI 3 is more than adequate. Saves a lot of time and makes a massive difference. @SamIAm is spot in with her description. First thing I did after unpacking the printer and before I even plugged it in was to setup a Raspberry Pi as an Octoprint server.
  10. I have a 3d scanner but not set it up yet. It was Kickstarter from last year. It's on the list but making a bass took priority
  11. It is very quick. Just printed at 0.1mm layer, best it can do and the quality is very, very good indeed. This Input Shaping is quick and good. Still need to play and explore the limits.
  12. Going to collect this tomorrow...last time I played anything less than 34" was 1977. No idea what to expect, but a bit excited.
  13. Thankfully yes, ACS PRO17s, bring the levels down nicely otherwise I’d be stone deaf.
  14. What was the original piezo pickup used in the original clip by @Ramirez? Cheap or not, it's working... And is that the 3sigma IR?
  15. An early start, in the beer garden of a rough assed pub just outside Bristol. We were a last minute stand in, which worked as our planned gig had been cancelled. I've never seen so many drunken scaffolders in the same place before. With their families. At 5pm. Football came on in the pub and the garden emptied. We played the second set to the occasional smoker. The place was so filthy I stopped at a Macdonalds to wash on the way home.
  16. Clearout No 2 These Round Wound strings have light use, all have been on five string 35” scale bass, some 4 over 1, latterly others 3 over 2. A set d’ddarrio’s unopened. Obviously they will fit 34” scale. I am not going to measure each string. As I changed strings (I did often) I put outgoing in the incoming packaging, their all good makes, some went "on and taken off quickly. I’m thinking £40.00 a job lot posted. Never buy a string again 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for looking
  17. Are you also using ear protection?
  18. Let’s look at part chops ! How about a ‘P’ Bitsa , a Head, a small combo, a cuddly toy 🙄
  19. Greetings all, Great books and DVDs I have amassed over the years. On the ups I’d learn how to sightread and on the downs just play the rest of the exercises by ear. To make it easy I’ll say a job lot as it would be too expensive to charge 5.95 postage on each. I could be tempted for a squeaky clean DiMarzio Model J cream bridge pickup . The hoarding never stops (in Zappa’s melody “The torture never stops”) F
