  1. Past hour
  2. Flats. I know that there are loads of players who love them, but I went through about 5 or 6 brands before realising that they weren’t for me.
  3. I’ve not heard of Nevr Dull before, but a quick Google shows it to appear to be very similar to Duraglit, which I’ve used for years with good results. It’s now owned by Brasso, and marketed as Brasso ‘with Duraglit’ I believe. Easy to use and no mess. Great idea, will try that next time - thanks.
  4. Great little pedals with Tube and FET plus the ability to mix the two. Very nice condition and stored in a neat little padded carry case! Postage can be arranged at buyer’s cost.

  5. Sounds like mine are dying then. I've just charged both the box and the transmitter/receiver units, so tonight I'll use them at rehearsal and see how long they take to die... but it's clear mine do not work like yours. I'm going to do a few tests, just to get a better sense about how quickly they die, and then I'll attempt surgery. It'll probably end up with my buying another set and crossing my fingers.
  6. Used to be mine. Its a wonderful lightweight and incredibly easy-to-play bass. I am back on long scale basses now, after my hand injury (largely) healed but this is an absolute beauty for those who love a shorter scale. BTW, the brand new one at Bass Gallery is £2,850, so this is a grand or so cheaper and looks to still be in the amazing condition when I sold it. GLWYS!
  7. I just found this on AliExpress: £2.65 | Guitar Fret Wire Sanding Stone Protector Kit Finger Plate Radian Polishing DIY Luthier Tool Guitar Bass Parts https://a.aliexpress.com/_EyxuHO6 ...and handy for a fret board clean without removing strings... I just found this on AliExpress: £1.34 | 2Pcs Metal String Spreaders Guitar Luthier Tool for Cleaning Fretboard Yellow https://a.aliexpress.com/_EQTZWmm
  8. So beautiful! I have Jazz that looks very similar but is a Frankenbass, made from various parts of Fender, Warmouth, Bass Centre, and maybe Seymour Duncan (I can't remember anymore). This stock instrument looks nicer as it's untouched. Fender Japan comes up with the most creative, beautiful stuff!
  9. Teach Me How To Shimmy — The Isley Brothers
  10. A set of Fret Guards (Music Nomad) and a set of fret erasers. A tin of Nevr Dull for super-shiny frets.
  11. I read the transcripts, and sorry, still can't see it. I watched the parts of the videos of her in them, and she is clearly just miming along to the videos, and it is very obvious. if people believe that she is playing anything then they are probably idiots, or so far away from being able to make any music that I don't see anyone is losing anything. Compared to half the shit on youtube that actually matters, I think its pretty harmless. What do we expect from youtube and user generated content? Someone I know believes all the stuff he sees on youtube and parrots it with a pasion and a claritiy that I have never had about anything, about how much money the nhs was going to get from brexit, how russia was wronged by the west, how vaxines change your DNA and global warming is a hoax by big science etc - that stuff has consequences, this is some girl who has worked out how to make a few quid from people who want to watch her. I really don't understand how anyone can get annoyed about that?
  12. Now that I've given up Getting Mad Online as a hobby I'm mostly in my yellow hat phase these days I think.
  13. Yep. In a heartbeat
  14. They give your bass the bounce it needs.
  15. Just plug em in and they charge
  16. Hi, Postage ? Pete
  17. I will admit I only skimmed through the Sapko video, but IDK how comparable her situation is to Turro. Yes, she has social media followers, but he was getting gear deals and trade show appearances, and selling tabs - does she have anything like that depth of success through fakery or is Mr Sapko just reaching a little?
  18. Hi, For sale the above, in full working order and great condition. Not needed now, recording finished. Price includes UK Mainland Delivery.
  19. Even someone who's never played must be able to see that the way she's hitting the strings has no correlation with the timing of the notes in the background music. Seems daft to get annoyed at someone who doesn't seem to be trying very hard to deceive anyone. Unless there's a previously unknown massive audience for 1980s Spanish package holiday hotel bar background music I imagine most of her followers probably aren't that interested in her musical skills anyway.
  20. Very nice. I love mine and put a mint guard on it. The antique white looks classy with the fiesta red, too.
  21. Perfect. Thanks. That's exactly what I was thinking. Out via the headphone amp then everyone has independent volume controls. Cheers.
  22. The Heart's Filthy Lesson - David Bowie
