So Aguilar have a 500 and a 750 watt head in production. For this combo they specially make a smaller (300w) amp? Strange thing to do IMHO. Put the 500w amp in the 'baseline' version (pardon the pun) and then you have a step through into the 'mega' 750w version. Both of these amps could easily run extension cabs too.

I'm still using my old Sony deck from 70's. I replaced the cartridge on it, no idea what it is tho but it still works fine but doesn't get much use these days. If you find the stylus jumping a bit do you not just adjust the balance weight to prevent jumping. Its not something i've ever had a problem with. The manual told me how to set the weight and its been there ever since. Its a NAD power amp with Mission and Bose speakers. I tend to use CD's more or if practicing the set list just fire in the laptop to a spare input channel. Think if i was buying a new deck it would be direct drive rather than belt which i've had to replace twice on mine over the years. Dave

Bay Splayer started following Musicman pickup COVER swap

Have recently bought an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray (fantastic ๐ bass) and I'm looking to swap the white pickup cover for a black one. Is this any easy task, as I'm not much of a techy? ๐ Thanks in advance for any information ๐๐ป Mark

After our usual few weeks off in January, we were back at it at a fairly local WMC, Maltby Catholic Club. Despite being local weโd not played this venue before. The gig was well publicised resulting in a packed house. Both spots were well attended by dancers and a promise of a further gig, love it when a plan comes together. Talking with the proprietor, turns out the place wasnโt doing too well when the took it over last year but since investing in better live music acts the place is now thriving which was great to hear. EBMM shorty stingray, Boss pedals, Markbass little Marcus 500, 2 x Markbass NY121. Silver Converse Chuckie Ts.

Someone asked me to put a length of laminate floor in the box running along the neck and joint area to offer more strength. From memory i bubble wrapped the neck with the smaller/thinner bubble wrap attached the laminate and then wrapped the full neck and body with the heavier bubble wrap. I don't sell or post many basses so i'm no expert. Dave

For sale, a TE Elf C110 combo in excellent condition. Reduced to ยฃ340. This really is immaculate, as is its cover. All you'd excect from the Elf range and surprisingly powerful and loud (if needed). Functioning perfectly and supplied with original TE documentation. I've ended-up with two (silly stereo experiment) so this - almost unused one - is no longer needed. I don't have the original box but can locate a carton for shipping if any prospective buyer wishes to organise a courier. No trades thanks. Collection would be preferable (just to the East of Manchester), though as above, courier arrangements are possible. Any questions, please just ask. Basic specs are: POWER: 130 watts @ 8 ohms, 200 watts @4 ohms (with an additional 8 ohm cabinet) FEATURES: Gain, level indicator, bass (center @ 80Hz), middle (center @ 400Hz), treble (center @ 4.2kHz), power indicator, volume, speaker/headphone selector switch, ground lift switch) SPEAKERS: 1x10โ Neo 8-ohm driver DIMENSIONS: 324mm (H) x 305mm (W) x 355mm (D) CONNECTIONS: Input, headphone/line out, speaker output, balanced DI XLR (direct out) WEIGHT: 18.5 lbs

This. A bike box cut down to size is way more sturdy than your typical guitar/bass box. And you can use all the surplus cardboard as strengthening and padding.

The End of Tonewood ... or Tone-anything!
Beer of the Bass replied to BassApprentice's topic in General Discussion
The video wasn't even meant to be about the "tonewood debate" (yawn), he's just trying something novel, wacky and more than a little impractical for the curiosity and spectacle of it. -

Markbass TTE 500 Randy Jackson Bass Amplifier
Intoutof replied to Intoutof's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Ooops, A little late but here's some proof of ownership piccies. Big thank you for the positive bigging up of the amp above. Seems really strange that I won't have an actual bass amp anymore. If only the 17 year old version of me knew what was coming when I lugged my 39kg Laney combo up and down the stairs ๐ - Today
