  2. Or Basschat without the “B”…
  3. I was hoping you were in Edinburg not sure I can squeeze in a trip across or a deposit 😆
  4. OK - so I did listen to the track - headphones on, at volume, all the way through. I was mentally preparing an unbiased critique, talking about song structure, instrumental discipline, some basic production/mastering which might pull a coherent song out of what we were presented with. And then I noticed our pal Mr Layne ain't exactly a newb around here, having uploaded 6 songs a good few years back. I got curious & went a-Googlin'. https://www.soundclick.com/johnlayneandtheaeonspromiseband Two hundred and seventy two songs. I don't think there's much I could teach John L about songwriting & production. Not that he'd listen to, anyway. 🙂
  5. Did they get back to you ?
  6. Wonderful piece of kit — I love mine!
  7. Great fun tonight Warwick Flashback 5 with Diamond Compressor and FKT Audio parametric EQ I like it
  8. Boss waza air bass headphone amp . With original case. Good used condition. Very useful bit of kit, too much for my needs. link to boss for full spec-https://www.boss.info/global/products/waza-air_bass/
  9. I've got a couple of these. 45-105 works well and I like 40-100 on most longscales. One on of my SRMD I have Dunlop Medium Scale Flatwounds on it at 45-105. They cost a bloody fortune but they also last an easy decade. That bass has a lot of upgrades too - £300+ of EMG pickups and preamp. The build quality is more than good enough for upgrade spending.
  10. It's an excuse for your band mates to get together before going the pub.
  11. Postage possible at buyers expenses
  12. I’ll chime in on that as I’ve had one since the mid-90s. It’s a photographic film (hence Foto Flame) that was applied onto a (typically) Alder body. They weren’t around for long as the finishes often cracked, as mine did. I think I’m right in saying that, in terms of spec, they were a ‘62 reissue. Apols for geeking out, but I always get excited when I see a Foto Flame Precision. They’re not widely loved it seems, but I’ve found mine to be my favourite Precision I’ve ever played. It’s certainly the only bass I’ve ever kept for that length of time. GLWTS to the OP!
  13. Some lovely patina starting on this recently fitted, untreated brass pickguard from Tinytone. EMG's are now gone. Solderless controls and Tonerider Classic pickups have been fitted along with some LaBella flats. Holy Motown. One of my favourite instruments to play now..
  14. Do check out Thomann every now and then. Sometimes they get models you might want and the waiting time is in the months, not years. Not fully customisable but still lots of options. I ordered mine with a 3-4 month wait time from Thomann and got it in like 2 months.
  15. Thanks, I will pass that on to our singer.
  16. Poor show from Pirate that their staff didn't care if the property may be on fire. At the same time, all you had to do was inform them that the fire alarm was going off. No need to be abusive. If you didn't like the studio, book somewhere else. It's a very simple fix.
  17. PRICE NOW DROPPED TO £275. LAST WEEK TO COLLECT FROM LONDON DUE TO HOME MOVE... Easily the best speaker cabinet I have ever used: am downsizing to lighter Genz Benz cabs as I rarely play live now. The Eden D210XST Cab is loud enough to be heard and yet still small enough to be used at home or in a small studio. For those players who need a portable, high-performance rig with even more low end than the XLT, Eden has designed a 2 x 10" cabinet for their XST woofers. Punchy and clean, the D210XST produces a full and clear tone through its two 10" speakers. It's excellent for delivering articulate bass lines with volume. This 2 x 10" cabinet handles more power than many 4 x 10" cabs on the market. The D210XST offers huge bottom end with its cleverly-designed tuned and ported cabinet construction and speaker selection: the low end is full but tight, the mids are open and well-defined and the highs are clear and crisp. Durable build quality makes this ideal for touring and live performances. All Eden enclosures are constructed with 5/8" thick void free plywood with full dado and rabbet jointing. Massive internal bracing prevents vibration and keeps the sound deep, tight and clear. Exclusive Eden Cast Frame loudspeakers and Eden Cast Bell low distortion tweeter horns are designed, hand-built and tested in their own factory in the USA. Very Good condition. Comes with an official Eden cover. Power Handling: 500 Watts Impedance: 8 Ohms Speakers: 2x10" Eden-spec Eminence EC1060XS speakers Tweeter: Eden Cast Bell low distortion Crossover: 3.5KHz @ 18dB Frequency Response: 30Hz - 14KHz Sensitivity: 103dB SPL Connections: Parallel 1/4 Inch and Speakon Dimensions: 23" w x 18" h x 18.5" d Weight: 59lbs / 26.8kg NOW ONLY £300. Collection from East London preferred, although happy for buyer to arrange a courier.
  18. Hi. Here you go (from the Gator site)... Length 12.50" Width 19.00" Height 9.00" Cheers!
  19. Hi Terry. I have had some interest – maybe things are just slow these days. I'm surprised it's still here, to be honest!
  20. Why's that? Obviously we can all pick and choose where we rehearse, but the Pirate studios ive used have already been pretty full when we have been there. never had any incidents (unlike with certain other studios).
  21. Yeah - the 51 is ace, but I’m trying to make space, builders start in September 🤩
  22. The two groups I've played with over the past few years are 90% original material so a lot of what I've been doing is working out songs.
  23. Cool, thanks mate 👍🏻
  24. As my post above. GuitarGuitar Glasgow has one and I know if you pop a deposit they will move it to your closest store to try.
  25. Burnin' Alive - AC/DC
  26. No complaints here with the Lekato WS-70, but maybe I'm a cloth-eared idiot.
