  2. The 2009 and the 1984. Lighting is different but there is just a really nice aging and yellowing to the ‘84 I also prefer the inlays on the older one, probably because they’re the same as my Fireglo one.
  3. So, I basically only play Rickenbackers these days, not that I have loads. I have a Fireglo 4003 from 1999 that is my main bass until I started travelling. Last year I bought a 2009 4003 in Mapleglo, which after Fireglo is my favourite colour. Then, bored, late at night I came across a 1984 Mapleglo 4003 on Guitar Center. I don’t know what more to say, it’s basically the same bass but older. Neck shape is different but every Ric has always been different for me. It’s incredible
  4. Bought a Zoom B1 Four from David and everything was super easy from start to finish - The pedal was exactly as described, he had great communication throughout and it was fast postage. A top guy to deal with ☺️
  5. ...and a few discrepancies between the post on BC and BD's description - the originality of the body, the fingerboard material - guessing BD clarified some of the details hence lower price

Good call, always good to have a cheap backup, just in case.

  8. Khazi - Gary Numan
  9. Looks like it albeit a whole lot cheaper at BD? The description at BD does no-one any favours
  10. I’m not trying to offend anyone. It was more I really couldn’t figure out what was original and what wasn’t.
  11. I agree, but Sound Techs vary. I saw a band two weeks ago where the singer (a great singer *) was singing in a band and as the band were introduced, she thanked her Dad on the IPad? Her Dad, a drummer, but clearly no Sound Tech as the sound was shite all night. Sadly I have seen big names with a so-called pro Sound Tech sound shite as the Bass drum was eq'd and compressed to within an inch of the audiences' life. Every time the drummer hit the bass drum, the rest was obliterated for 2–3 seconds. *Aimi Knight, I know he is on Apple Music, not sure about Spotify.
  12. This keeps coming up and I have to keep remindig myself, I'm here to SELL a bass, not to buy a new one... 😅
  13. Just absurd pricing. Embarrassingly so.
  14. Lavatory Lil - Paul McCartney
  15. To judge those 15s, you must listen using decent headphones or speakers. As I heard it, the Trace sounded best followed by the Barefaced next and the Markbass sounded like a P bass with 90-year-old rounds on, no clarity at all. I know that Markbass cabs are Marmite. In a cab shoot-out. In consequent years, at the South west Bass Bash, Markbass were voted best and worst cabs. In 2025 surely the benefit of 12s and 10s, in a well-designed cab has been proven. Cabs for Barefaced and LFSys have proven that 12s are the modern sweet spot for bass, especially when crossed-over properly to a decent compression driver horn combination That gives you the benefits of that Trace 15 with the power handling to go loud. Even the simple crossover on the BC110T sounds better than most commercial cabs.
  16. Did they tell you what was wrong?
  17. 2. you know where they are. fight me…with no pants on.
  18. Wow... It sucks to be you.
  19. Toltec pickups. Lee will make whatever you want.
  20. Royal Mail should deliver tomorrow (fingers crossed). Really looking forward to hearing the 5.1 mix.
  21. Today
  22. Blah, blah, blah.
  23. Isn’t it the same one that’s for sale on here
  24. I’ve paired both Ashdown ABM600 and RM500 amps with Ashdown PRO NEO 210 cabs (they do 115s as well). If you like the Ashdown sound they’re def worth checking out, reasonably priced and light at about 13kg, plus as the cones (in the 210) are diagonally placed they’re a smaller footprint cab. Though having said that a new one will be more than a used Barefaced cab on here and the Barefaced would, I’m fairly sure, outperform the Ashdown.
