[quote name='waynepunkdude' post='780293' date='Mar 19 2010, 10:19 PM']There is a guy in Cornwall trying to sell this for £750

Coincidentally, I just bought a Squier Strat off that seller and after I googled the serial number, I can tell you he got both in an auction at Tennants for £60.

My Strat was missing the trem arm and the seller managed to find one and threw it in for nowt. So perfectly happy there. Downside is that the guitar smells like fags...so this bass might too.

If the pup in this is an old DiMarzio Model P (which it looks like) they can fetch £40-odd alone.

I'm almost tempted...

Edit: In the (unlikely) event anyone gives a sh!t what it was before its appointment with the bandsaw - it was an Italian Melody:

The neck's the giveaway - 3-piece, protruding heel-end truss adjuster, dots to 17th fret & that strange skinny neckplate. Shame, 'cos you don't see too many of these.

J.

In the entire history of the bass guitar, there is not one single point at which that instrument would ever have been regarded as good-looking. You have to wonder what goes through peoples' minds.

If you listen very carefully you can just hear it whisper " please kill me "

Bloody hell - has someone been releasing something into the water supply or have B&Q had a 99p Jigsaw sale. I think we should form the RSPCB - The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Basses.

I can just imagine the scenario:

I must pop to B&Q and buy one of the jigsaws in their sale. Mobile phone rings..... "coming out for a drink later I fancy getting wasted" "Yeah I'll be there".
15 pints & a bag of grass later "I bought a new Jigsaw today what can I try it out on"? (unfortunately the only wooden item in the room is standing neglected in the corner) - "Aha" plug, switch bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh f@ck I think I've made a bit of a mess of that.

Every Friday night it's the same story all across the country, just £2 a month would help the RSPCB to stop this - please help.
