1. I fell for that hook line and sinker! But glad to hear its a spoof. That Mark King one is much funnier
2. Worst Ive ever seen/heard from JP.. sad alright.
3. Yea, Ive a Sennheiser too. No noticeable loss of tone or volume, highly recommended.
4. Yea just be careful with cabs, powerful magnetic fields there. Get someone else to lift em.
5.
i'm in the same boat as the OP. Recently joined new band, been rehearsing once a week but now first gig is getting closer band leader has upped it to twice a week... we're only doing a 45 minute set so does seem overkill to me..theres only so many times you can go through the same handful of songs!! Also most of the rehearsals are 45 minutes away and in the 9pm til midnight slot which twice a week is a bit much i reckon. Admittedly the band leader pays for all rehearsal costs and is aware that i'm more than up to speed with the songs (extra rehearsals seem to be for drummers benefit) and he's even offered to pay my petrol money (which i won't take as thats not an issue) but i dunno... i don't want to get bored with the songs before we've even gigged them!! peace c
Nothing worse than overplaying a set.. if the band is sick of the songs you can be sure the punters will pick up on it. Bad, bad move. Im a firm believer in nailing beginnings and endings, the middle bits should be ok.
6. Biro springs.. quick and easy solution, works perfectly.
7. Yea looks like youll have to work it out yourself. Accurate chords for it on ultimateguitar.com Good luck with it! Edit- Just had a listen, nothing to it, you should manage it easily.
8. Hats and bass are good to listen to and play off, provided the drummer knows what he's doing. A lot of blues and rock have the snare slightly ahead or behind the beat so bear that in mind. Would be inclined to listen to the whole kit myself... better again, listen to the whole band!
9. Should be ok with flats though.. go for it.

11. Ready.. Take Aim.. and Slap! It will help if you can mute the other strings with your fretting hand. Yes, you keep practising and so will I! Good luck.
12. And I was just going to suggest raising the action.. Spoilsports!
13.
Here's my pic of The Elite Clique from 1964.
Great pic.. Nothings changed at all, we still have to beat the information into the drummer!
14.
It certainly sounds like 2 basses playing.
Yea I thought so.. Im going to have a look for it being played live and see what bassist does.
15. Hi Folks, Anyone play Night Moves by Bob Seger? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mRFWQoXq4c Ive to get it together and just listening tonight.. it sounds like a melody bassline has been dropped in to the mix. Very nice it is too but just wondering if anyone knows for sure. Any advice on how to go about it would be appreciated. Many thanks, John
