Anything divided by 7...

My late father was in 49 Squadron during the war.

And there were 7 in the crew of a Lancaster.

well … any integer or rational number divided by 7 is a rational number, since 7 is also an integer.

3/7 = rational

(3/7) /7 =3/49 = rational

For those aware of the saga relating to my car, at a hearing in July to discuss setting the judgment I'd obtained aside, it turned out the dealership may not have been getting their post so their defence was reinstated, and we were firmly encouraged by the judge to try and sort it ourselves before coming back to court. The dealer's director collared me after the hearing to say he'd call me to discuss a settlement, but after nearly two months, and an email and two voice messages from me that haven't been responded to, I've still not heard a dicky bird from them. So I'll be down another £180-odd for the trial fee and off to court we go again in October.

Sorry to hear this. I really don’t know what is happening to customer service in the UK. I have a couple of fairly simple things that need sorting that rely on other companies and their woeful customer service.

One of which involves money owed and the other retirement planning. In one case 10 months have passed without resolution, the other getting on for two months. The legwork and staggering incompetence involved is depressing. Thankfully I have a little time and am not financially strapped or the impact would be far worse.

I feel your pain. Customer service is a race to the bottom in the UK.

Happy to take your cash but very slow to provide any service and getting cash back from them ….

You’re being very generous, Tim. The only places I would now be considered middle-aged are a care home and an Anglican Church congregation. 😂

And here, where you’re just a junior

Or perhaps in the House of Lords

Trousers, jeans or such like and no belt.

Closely related... jeans with the crotch hear knee level. Sorry Gary Stringer...

Saw a tall guy in the supermarket the other day, well over a foot taller than his partner. They both appeared to have legs the same length...

Nissan Juke drivers. What's wrong with them? Why are they all such terrible drivers with no awareness of what's going on around them?

If Im on my motorbike, I will always be extremely cautious around them and expect the worst of them.

The obvious explanation is that the tall guy is accidentally wearing his partner's trousers.

I always say the my Nana told me never to trust a man who doesn't wear a belt.  It's not true but it sounds cool.

How anyone can go belt-less is beyond me.

Not many of my trousers have carriers for wearing a belt. I rely on their elasticity; it can be embarrassing if this starts to fail whilst I'm carrying something in both arms, for instance. :$
