Agreed. Some of the world music acts (ie not indie or pop) are just incredible. Also saw a few folk acts whose voices were just amazing.

Franz Ferdinand - not a fan tbh but their set was great. Bassist had a very interesting Rickenbacker - a 3000 series I think.

 

The 1975 - so so, a bit dull tbh

 

Looking forward to tonight's offerings

English Teacher is the only act that I've managed to watch live so far. Never heard of them but I too thought they were ace 👍

I haven't watched the English Teacher set but if the consensus from people who have seen it is anything to go by, I think it'll be the first thing I put on when I'm back home later today. Also going to try and find the Fratellis and Ash sets from yesterday if I can.

 

Very much looking forward to watching Maccabees tomorrow night too.

Well I never knew HF was Kim Wilde's son.... Wunderhorse's bassist's father is Biff Byford.

It just shows how tastes can differ because I thought English Teacher were very dull. Contemporary alternative rock by numbers. There is nothing remotely new or original about their music or performance.

 

For me, CMAT have stolen the show so far from what I have seen.

Because while both are past their sell-by date, the 1975 aren't quite as stale, and neither have been going long enough to get a second wind as "legends".
