I may have to carve an exception for one thing I know may become necessary in the summer, but I'll commit to only making 'business' purchases as opposed to 'fun' ones. Playback equipment would be in the former category since my friend and I are trying to start a little business doing that. To maintain the spirit of the challenge, I'll balance any required purchases out by forcing myself to sell one or two things I don't use much first. The plan this year is to focus on finishing all my embarrassingly neglected projects and maybe even sell some of other basses. I'm pretty sure I've got all the bits I need for each project so shouldn't fall foul. I'm planning on replacing the tuning rollers on a headless bass bridge, as they are a bit stiff, and I need a locking nut replaced on another bass. Split with my band and decided I loathe gigging, the local venues and the people I get to play with and for. Plus I'm happy with my fretless and my MB rig.
