Ah but when will you be doing this format for the legendary first 'Cars' album?  ;)

That's actually on the list 👍

Oddly enough @Beedster my band Cheat Trick have just decided to do The Budokan album in full at our next gig!

I'd love to see that, I imagine a bit of a trek for me though :(

(Are you going to run audio of hysterical screaming between tracks?)

Tomorrow night, first gig of 2025 for Nine Lives, at Wilsons in Aberdeen.  Couple of new songs to go into the set, and a couple of dusty old ones got the cobwebs blown off them too!

We're delighted to be a very last minute addition to a (magnificent) seven band bill on Saturday afternoon that includes Homer, Street Outlaws, Mike & the Free Spirits, Room 101, Viva and Six O'Clock Circus.

It's a charity show for local lad Paul Smith who recently died, to help raise money for his funeral. We're opening the music up at 4pm and will be doing a 45 minute set mixing originals and covers (the best of our 3 main releases). A suggested entry of £5 on the door (less than a quid a band!)

Now there’s a gig I wouldn’t mind having. That or an REM tribute. I also fancy an Americana type gig as an excuse to play the EUB live.

Should be a good gig, right in the heart of student land too! Upstairs room so be prepared,

but will be a cracking night I’m sure. Have a good one!

I'll tell the drummer... everyone else is IEM.  :)

@ezbass - it's a great gig and certain songs are just a dream.

I need to shut about about gigs I've been to, but last night the singist of my band Bendricks Rock asked if I was going to the Park to see the Flares. We were heading to the club in Penarth but changed plans (ironically a 25 minute drive to the pub a minute's walk from my house).

But my point? This was the audience, ot about a quarter of it...

Gig was canny but the PA and engineer were woefully unprepared (despite us supplying a tech spec when we booked) for a 6 piece band (inc sax, keys, x2 guitars and bass), with 5 vocals, no backline and 6 IEM feeds req'd... the poor guy managed to give us a single mix through 3 tiny little 8" wedges!

We know all BVs were pulled from the mix and unconvinced that the bass was even in the FOH mix.  :/

First gig of 2025 for Hurtsfall will be on Friday 21st February at The Grove (on Avenue C in Sneinton Market) in Nottingham.

We'll be supporting The DSM IV with Modern Coven opening.

Tickets are £10 or £12 on the door.
