Help me pick a colour for a bitsa Jazz

Hi all,

I've slowly been collecting odds and sods to make a bitsa Jazz and thoughts have turned to the finish. Going to go with a spray can nitro job, but can't decide on the colour. So I thought I'd see what my bass playing brothers have to say. At the moment, I'm considering a few options. Here we go...

Capri Orange with maple neck with blocks - [currently winning in my head!]

Ocean Turquoise Metallic with dot and bound rosewood neck & matching headstock [pic is faded LPB, but you get the idea]

One of the Fender pastel colours with a dot and bound rosewood neck and matching headstock

This will be my first spray finish, so thinking I may want to avoid the metallic as that can be a bit trickier it would seem. Any advice, tips, do's and don't do's would be appreciated!

Cheers folks.

All of those colors look fantastic, I thing the Orange just takes it.

Have you ever looked at the Peterbuilt facebook page? that man knows how to finish a bass...

Thanks all so far! Yellowcar - agreed that the OTM isn't as good as it could be. It seems to be a pretty difficult colour to capture just right.

Pastel's currently winning - I'm unsure which way I'd go with that. I love the Seafoam and Surf Greens, so probably that way.

Keep votes coming, build thread to follow in a few months! :)

You could do a lot worse than this...

My all time fave!

I really like sonic blue/white/rosewood, particularly with ashtrays and particularly if the sonic blue is faded and washed-out.

I like all three, much more interesting than the usual, although I am a sucker for the '60s pastels.
Daphne blue and tort have been on my bucket list for some time.

Definitely agree bh2 on the tort issue.

Seen that Sonic Blue Jazz a few times and always think it looks great. Kind of thinking of going Seafoam and rosewood at the moment. Ash body from Guitarbuild came in the post today, but missed it so probably pick it up this weekend. Stoked!

The pastel colours demand a white/pearl/mint type guard... absolutely no tort.
