In which case it must be Thin Blue Line (http://www.thethinblueline.net/). Some of my playing is indeed criminal, so it's a fair cop, guv. I don't want to end up with a Police record because of it though. I rest my case...

And Rowan Atkinson isn't even a member on there.

I'm bored now.... More wine, Vicar...

It would appear that I am older than I think. I thought everyone with a hint of bass geekery knew about it.

Thank you for the link. I started playing long before the Internet Revolution, and even though I now live in the world of Google, this one has passed me by I'm afraid.

I was planning on being the first thicko originally, but then decided it was better to use Google. So now I know!

Was that on his famous hit 'Stand And Deliver', covered by Adam Ant many years later?

That's the one - Dick was really a Jazz musician, even back then it did not pay the bills,
so he resorted to pop music when the stage coach business dried up a little.

I was on a couple of mailing lists in the early days of the internet (not TBL) and found that they quickly filled up my in-box with messages most of which were of no interest to me. After being away on holiday for 2 weeks I came back to find that the amount of mail I had missed in my absence took over 30 minutes to download on dial up, I unsubscribed.

Forums are better since you can pick and choose what to look at.
