Musky Posted March 31, 2012 Share Posted March 31, 2012 The Bass 9's were really cool looking basses - very Jaguar- like, covered in a fantastic variety of vinyl coverings, with an amazing pickguard of the same material that's facing the headstock in that auction. To call it mother-of pearl really does it an injustice - it's under 2mm thick but has an amazing depth to it. I've yet to see a modern pickguard that approaches it for looks.
