Took delivery of a brand new plectrum

I don't like plastic picks, the sound is too artificial. I use rosewood picks for a dark tone and maple ones for brighter tone. Here's a pic:

I recently took delivery from a world-famous luthier of a two-sided pick, they're known to be able to reproduce double-thump technique even more accuratly than Wooten!

Are you insinuating the other posts aren't properly serious?
[/quote]

Ofcourse not, it's just that people usually know not to take me seriously so I have to explicitly tell them when I mean what I type :)

Following my pick GAS i',ve just pulled the trigger on one of these babies. The holes are carefully engineered to offer less air resistance wilst strumming thus making me play faster! I'll make some footage once they arrive.

Are the blue pointy ones reliable? I'm gigging next week and need to know whether or not I should take a backup with me.

I've seen reports of early versions inexplicably cutting out when digging in, although it seems this is only a problem when using two 4 stringers. A single 5 or 6 stringer seems to be ok. Check the revision number, or maybe ask over at TalkBass? I'm sure there's a wealth of experience over there...

I've been closely following this thread, as I believe you should Take Your Pick of all the available plucking options. I didn't know...

I'm thinking of getting a pick to gig a few set songs with. My amp is 500w at 4 ohms - if I were to go for a blue 2mm pick, will the amp run at full power?

How many Ohms is your pick?
