Nice work, I've tried a few different options for tilting and lifting cabs over the years, and I agree, many are too shallow as they're designed for guitar amps. Your solution looks excellent.

There's the Fishman Fission? Gives octave up, forth below and 5th above. Very lightly dialed in might be worth a thought? https://youtu.be/I2XKZNMR2Pc?si=Nru8jA1-zZ2A1wxi

Nice work! Glad it's made such an improvement.

Playing gigs sitting down. Pop/funk covers band. Acceptable?

Yep absolutely -
Unplugged for me. Plenty loud enough to hear what I'm playing.

Nope, I'd be reporting the incident to the staff (if possible), reporting to the police and never going back.

Originals band and the guitarist could commit to gigs due to his work schedule being unpredictable (fair enough). I tried to bring up the idea of finding a dep for the gigs he couldn't make but that didn't go down well. Broke up shortly after.

I saw Ash play recently at Rock City in Nottingham. It had been a good few years since I'd seen them last but it was a really great night. Great sounds. Great vibes.

Great work.

Wow, that looks like fantastic condition for 30 years! Kudos for taking care of your gear.

Went to see Jesca Hoop at Metronome in Nottingham last night. Intriguing performer. Lovely voice and unusual (I think delicately palm muted) guitar style. Great sound in the venue.

Ash and The Subways at Rock City. Great fun.

Huge respect and support from me. I really love your playing.

Good luck. Hope it goes well for you.

I went to see Pulp last night at Finsbury Park supported by Wet Leg. Sound wasn't perfect, unfortunately it was a bit windy but the energy was great, a really fun show.

I'm afraid I can't offer advice on the venue specifically but interesting that Via Fossa are doing multi band gigs. Wishing you a great gig.

Thank you, I'll have to look up some more of that.

I'm enjoying the set by Los Bitchos. Hadn't heard of them before. Not sure how I'd describe the genre, anyone care to enlighten me?

The band- bunch of mates with wildly differing abilities (I was least talented by miles) and varied musical tastes The set- versions of mostly rock songs "made funky" The venue- underneath a pub on what I think was an industrial estate The gig - a friend of a friend's birthday party? The drinks - there were many before, during and after the gig. Fun, yes. High quality musical performance? Hmm Edit- I forgot to mention, I think it was around Christmas so we all dressed as elves.

In my opinion, two excellent points have been raised above. 1- If equal effort is put in then equal pay seems fair. However work such as writing, arranging, management, booking, equipment, transport etc is often unequal in my experience. 2- Openness. Full transparency about who is paid what and why seems like the adult, mature thing to do.

(Opinion disclaimer) I have had a C4 from their diamond series with EMG pickups for more than 15 years. I really like it, it's my main instrument and I've played in a few bands of differing styles during that time.
