1. Arse, I'd have had that if I'd known about it! £112 is ridiculous considering the SRX750, which is very similar, goes for about 600 quid brand new.
2. Queens of the Stone Age - You Can't Quit Me Baby The Mars Volta - Day of the Baphomets
3. I know Ashdown amps are a bit Marmite, but this is a proper bargain (less than what I paid for mine, and I thought I got a good deal!). Have a bump on me.

RIP Leftysteve

Again, I didn't know Steve, but it's never good to hear news like this. Steve would have been the same age as my dad - pretty unbelievable when I think about it like that as it really is such a young age to go. RIP Steve, and my deepest condolences to your family.
5. I've sold two basses and bought my entire rig all on this site, and I haven't had a single problem with any of the deals. Those members that I've met in person have been top blokes, and I'm pretty sure that those I only spoke to via email were as well. In other words: Basschat 1, eBay nil.
6. I would have filled my pants if I'd been in the middle of a Jam song only to find that two of them were standing there watching. Thanks for the heads-up on the Hammersmith gig as well. Slightly OT, but how are the Water Rats Studios? I've been looking at local rehearsal rooms and the info on their website looks promising, but it'd be interesting to hear from someone who has actually used them. Although I guess if they're good enough for the Jam, they'll be good enough for a rank amateur like me
7. Four - guitar, bass, drums, vocals.
8. I've not heard it yet, didn't even realise it was out. Although I really liked the last album, so it'll be interesting to hear what's different about this one. Really, really can't wait to see them in December.
9.
The was a guy over on Talkbass, who is from this side of the pond, who does solo bass stuff. I seem to remember a picture of him playing a Warwick Vampyre in a shopping centre.
I think he's a member on here as well, I remember reading about it/seeing the photos. I'll see if I can find the thread...
10. If the "Super BB" comes in the same colour as the Billy Sheehan model, with the same shape, layout and bound maple fingerboard as LoMenzo's, I know where this year's student loan is going...
11. I missed Rose Kemp when she (you?) played with Oceansize in London last year, thanks to whatever idiot decided it'd be good to have gigs inside a shopping centre, so I may very well be at the Guildford date (if only to see the Rickenblacker in the flesh).

How do I get this tone

Well, I was joking, but I'd say something by Clutch. Anything by Clutch, actually.

How do I get this tone

According to an interview from a while back, he uses an Ampeg SVT Classic and Boss ODB3. I agree with Wayne though

SOLD

...And back again.
16.
Did I read that right? Fall Out Boy and brilliant album in the same sentence? I hate Fall Out Boy with a passion, and seeing the way Download festival has been going, they will probably headline it soon enough, and if its next year, Im sure as hell not going for my 15th Zach
This coming from someone who likes Airbourne? S'pose I did listen to some bollocks when I was 14 to be fair, time is on your side... Also, Download w/Fall Out Boy > not going to Download at all. Fact.
17. Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High. Sodding brilliant album.
oceansize- sleeping dogs and dead lions
Excellent taste, sir.

19.
I think I've heard him say it is because John Paul Jones is his idol, so always wanted to play a Fender Jazz. Went he played on the The Mars Volta album De-Loused in the Comatorium, it sounds like he was using the Jazz on that. He sounded pretty kick ass... but with Chilis, it just doesn't cut the way the Stingray or Modulus Flea can. It is his sig sound with the band.
I think he used a Precision that Omar Rodriguez-Lopez gave/lent him ond De-Loused. Having seen RHCP twice in the last few years I have to agree that nothing cuts through like the Modulus live, it'll be interesting to see what Fender come up with if he really is getting a deal with them.
20. Well, although I would have accepted full payment by way of epic quantities of Stella, I've had a more practical offer, so this is now sold pending the usual.
