  1. If those SRX's had fatter necks I'd be out to get one in a heartbeat, great basses IME. That Jazz looks great as well, can't beat vintage white/tort on a Fender if you ask me. Nice collection.
  2. For me, it's a toss-up between Tool (Justin Chancellor) and Isis (Jeff Caxide), Tool probably edge it since I've been listening to them for longer. Then again, Caxide has had more of an influence on my bass playing than Chancellor, so I'd say it's pretty even. I'll always have a soft spot for Incubus and RHCP as well.
  3. I'm interested, but also on holiday (never thought I'd pull a face like that when talking about going on holiday). Thanks for the heads-up though, make it a good'un so I can come to the second one
  4. 6U of rack taken up by 2U of Behringer V-amp Pro and 3U of "Hollywood" poweramp, which leaves 1U spare. Time to get me some lights, perhaps...
  5. One of those twin-pickup OLPs would do me very nicely. Other than that, I'm GAS free (bass-wise at least, drums are a whole different story).
  6. I've never used the website, but almost all the gear I own at the moment has been bought from the shop. Even though Graeme might seem a bit miserable sometimes he (or anyone else) has never had a problem with me trying out anything, in fact on more than one occasion I've been in one of the smaller rooms trying basses and one of the guys has brought other basses in without me asking. Never had a problem doing returns/exchanges either, and got quite a few leads thrown into the bargain whenever I've bought something a bit pricey.
  7. Sounds like Billingshurst...
  8. At the moment I've got 4 basses and 2 guitars split between my room, on normal stands, and the "music room" (or the garage, as it was formerly known) on wall-hangers that tend to switch places quite often. Those 5 instrument stands are very appealing, though...
  9. Yeah, it's definitely a creepy place. I didn't even know there was a Crawley in Oxfordshire, actually I'm in West Sussex.
  10. Hi everyone, Joe from Crawley here, been playing bass for about 4 and a half years now. Music-wise I'm into bands like Tool, Isis, Mastodon, The Mars Volta, Devil Sold His Soul, GY!BE etc. I play in a band called Acta Non Verba (www.myspace.com/actanonverbamusic), current main bass is a Warwick Corvette STD. Good to see a few friendly faces (well, names) from a certain other forum based across the pond, hopefully this place will turn out to be more friendly (and more useful). Joe.
