The cab clearout continues... I believe these may have been a custom order by the previous owner as I've not been able to find another model online which matches the exact specs: - 2 x 10" speakers (vertically aligned) - Each cab rated at 250W @ 8 ohms - 24" x 18" x 13" (HxWxD) - Approx. 40 lbs each In any case, they sound great - I've mainly used one on its own for rehearsals and small gigs, but they really shine as a pair. Roqsolid covers included. Ideally looking for a straight sale but I could be interested in a deal involving a Markbass 121P/H combo. Collection from Haywards Heath preferred, alternatively I’d be happy to meet within a reasonable distance if I can fit them both in my car (to be confirmed over the weekend).

Great cabs but as my main band made the switch to IEMs about six years ago, it's probably time to admit that I'm unlikely to get the chance to use them in anger any time soon. Full specs can be found here: https://www.gallien-krueger.com/neo-112-specs They are clearly used but in very good condition with only one or two minor scuffs to the tolex. Worth noting that one handle on each cab has lost its spring (mechanically speaking - I don't think anything has actually fallen out!) but they both remain perfectly usable. Roqsolid covers included, both of which have some nicks in them (see photos) but are in decent shape. A fine a example of a great bass and one I'd love to keep hold of just for *that* sound, but as it doesn't get used live and I'm not likely to have any recording work in the immediate future it is sadly surplus to requirements. The bass is in good condition and comes with the original (long scale) Fender gig bag. Strings have been changed by the previous owner to some unknown flatwounds but otherwise it's more or less as it left the factory, albeit slightly more road worn. Collection from Haywards Heath preferred, alternatively I’d be happy to meet within a reasonable distance.

Status Graphite replacement neck for a four string Music Man StingRay, used but in good condition. Most recently fitted to a 2010 StingRay (screw holes are for the original EBMM tuners/string retainer) but I believe it has been fitted to an earlier, three-bolt StingRay in a previous life. Collection/meet up preferred but I will consider posting within the UK provided I can rustle up some packing materials that haven’t fallen victim to the great spring clean.

Status Graphite replacement neck for a four string Music Man StingRay, used but in good condition. There is a chip above the second fret which, while unquestionably an eyesore, looks worse than it is - you can definitely feel it if you run your fingers over it but I’ve never noticed it while playing. I believe the tuners and string retainer originate from an OLP StingRay, and they do a job but aren’t quite at the same level of quality as the neck itself. Bought this earlier in the year for a potential new project which, due to a combination of a global pandemic and impending fatherhood, now looks like it will never get off the ground. This was the first U-Bass I'd ever picked up and they really are a lot of fun to play - I'd have no hesitation in gigging it and I'm yet to find anything better for living room noodling, and if our boiler didn't repairing I'd be tempted to keep hold of it for that if nothing else. It comes with a semi-hard case but I don't have anything else in the way of packaging materials, so collection from Haywards Heath would be preferred. Alternatively I'd be happy to meet up or deliver within a reasonable distance (Sussex/Surrey/Hampshire/Kent etc). Any questions, give me a shout. Cheers!

Question for @anzoid and @scrumpymike (and anyone else who owns one of these): how do you find the passive tone control, particularly at lower settings? Does it get anywhere near Precision territory or is the sound more akin to a regular StingRay with the bass on full and treble rolled off?

Letting go of a couple of pedals which are now (and, to be honest, probably always have been) surplus to requirements. Both were purchased about a year ago - the Octabvre was brand new from Bass Direct, the Vintage Microtubes was picked up second hand from here - are in good condition (minor scuffs and scratches as shown in photos) and come with original box and all the trimmings. 3Leaf Audio Octabvre MKII - £175 incl. UK postage SOLD Darkglass Vintage Microtubes - £130 incl. UK postage SOLD

New Fender Signature Bass - Justin Meldal-Johnsen RW Mustang Bass
JoeS replied to Musicman20's topic in Bass Guitars
Good to hear your first impressions are positive. Like you I was put off preordering by the constant delays, as well as not actually having played one... but after seeing the how quickly these are selling I’ve bitten the bullet and ordered one online which should arrive on Friday. Can’t wait! -

Where did you order from, if you don’t mind me asking? Almost certain I’ll end up buying one of these, but I’d like to try one first and haven’t managed to find anywhere that has them in stock yet... -
I'll almost certainly regret this, but here goes... I only bought this from Discreet about nine months ago, but as good a bass as it is - and it is very, very good - I'm not really playing Precisions at the moment and finding it increasingly difficult to justify having two of them. This is the more valuable of the pair, so I'm letting my head rule my heart and putting it up for sale. Plenty has been said about the sound and feel of the Road Worn series and this bass absolutely lives up to the hype - it's comfortably the best sounding and feeling Precision I've ever laid my hands on, and streets ahead of the American Standard P I offloaded last year. It's in very good nick (yes, it looks beaten up - the clue is in the name) but does have a couple of non-standard features: at some point in its life it has been fitted with pickup and bridge covers, so the holes for those are visible in the pickguard and body; it also used to be fitted with a set of straplocks, the screws for which were slightly bigger than standard and I never got around to replacing the originals or glueing a bit of toothpick in the holes so the strap buttons do rattle around a bit (if this a deal-breaker then I'll have a bash at sorting it). The bass is currently fitted with a nicely broken-in set of La Bella 760FS flatwounds. I would prefer a straight sale, but could also be tempted by a trade for a nice Jazz from the usual suspects - particularly a Road Worn or Flea Signature. Unfortunately I don't have a case or gig bag to post this in, so collection from Haywards Heath, West Sussex would be preferable. Alternatively, I'm happy to deliver/meet up within a reasonable distance. Photos, courtesy of Discreet (it's only left the house twice since I bought it and has been handled with care at all times - I can take more up-to-date but less high quality pics if anybody wants them):
