1. I've just picked up a replacement for this so I'm now after a straight sale only please. Any takers at £180?
2. Bump for revised trade options - anybody with a four-string Precision (or similar - Yamaha BB, G&L Tribute, etc) they're looking to move on, let me know...
3. Bought this new at Andertons around six months ago with the intention of it being a kind of gateway to the world of five strings, but a couple of rehearsals and three and a half gigs later I was back to four strings and it looks as if that's the way it's going to stay. Everything you've read about recent Squier instruments is true, and this a fine example - the looks, sound, and feel of this bass far exceed what you'd traditionally expect to find at this kind of price. There are a couple of very minor marks on it, most notably on the ninth fret (under the B and E strings) and one reasonably low down on the rear of the body, but other than that it looks and feels very much like new. At some point in between rehearsal number two and gig number three I fitted the bass with a set of Elixirs in an effort to make it feel more familiar to my stubborn, change-resistant fingers. As you can imagine, having only seen about two hours of playing time these still have plenty of life in them. As it stands I'm not desperate to shift this and don't really have anything suitable to post it in so collection only from Crawley, West Sussex please (I'm also happy to meet up/deliver within a reasonable distance). Cash price is [b]£175. 4. You're not wrong, Rik. These punch well above their weight, if I could afford to (and had the space) I'd keep hold of it just to use at home!
5. Back to the top (now with added info on the neck)
6. Simple, straightforward USB interface which works brilliantly for home recording and practice. More info here: http://lexiconpro.co.../products/alpha Comes with the original box, manual and USB cable but not the Cubase LE software which was originally included as sadly the disc seems to have disappeared into the ether. (EDIT: Found it!) Price is £35 including postage. Any questions, requests for more photos, etc just give me a shout. 7. Lovely little beginner's guitar, only selling as I've long since upgraded and could use the cash for more bass-related goodies! It's in reasonable condition and plays very nicely indeed, thanks to a typically Ibanez-sized neck and a slightly shorter scale length. More info can be found here: http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/GSZ120 Although it comes with gig bag (see photos) I currently lack the requisite packaging materials to post so collection only from (or within a reasonable distance of) Crawley, West Sussex please. Any questions, requests for more photos, etc just give me a shout. Joe Photos here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9ex3nrqb22xv9op/AAD8xLD6qFXZLra8VjV8qMbMa?dl=0
8. 19" 6U rack case in very good condition but now surplus to requirements. Specs can be found here: http://www.staggmusi...6u.html?backp=1 Collection from (or within a reasonable distance of) Crawley, West Sussex preferred, although I am willing to post if necessary (cost dependent on buyer's location). Any questions, requests for more photos, etc just give me a shout. 9. In all honesty I'm struggling to remember where I picked this up from, but the spelling of the word "Energie" on the front makes me think it probably originated from Thomann... Possibly the most basic bit of gear I've ever used. 256W per side, does what it says on the tin, etc. More info here: http://www.hifi-towe...1200W_i2383.htm It's a fairly weighty beast so collection only from (or within a reasonable distance of) Crawley, West Sussex please. Any questions, requests for more photos, etc just give me a shout. 10. Versatile and cruelly underrated bit of kit, but unfortunately I've just got no need for it anymore! It's used and in good nick - the only slight issue is a wobbly on/off switch which seems to be a common problem with these. Specs can be found here: http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/BASS-V-AMP-PRO.aspx Collection from (or within a reasonable distance of) Crawley, West Sussex is preferred, although I am willing to post if necessary (at no additional cost). Any questions, requests for more photos, etc just give me a shout. Joe Photo here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qbe8gdsjgsd1ie8/AACySkpdpJuLqzLw7cCRwV7Ua?dl=0 (The power amp, rack case and cabinet in the photo are all for sale as well, in case anybody is interested!)
11. Having gone down the lightweight 1x12 route for my latest gig I now need to shift my Hartke 4x10. Bought brand new from GAK in (I think!) 2006 and used sporadically since then, it's in very good condition and will look even better once I get the hoover out! The cab can handle 300w @ 8 Ohms and has handled everything I've thrown at it over the past nine years. As 4x10s go it's pretty lightweight and compact - unfortunately it's just not lightweight or compact enough for my needs! That also means it isn't lightweight or compact enough to post, so collection only from (or within a reasonable distance of) Crawley, West Sussex please. Any questions, requests for more photos, etc just give me a shout. 12. I bought this on eBay about seven or eight years ago with the intention of doing it up, but sadly I think it's time to concede I'm just never going get around to it! My understanding is that Cimar was a division of Ibanez during the 70s and 80s - as you can see in the photos, the bass is essentially an Ibanez Blazer with a different name on the headstock. The serial number dates the instrument to 1984, which is consistent with this catalogue: http://www.ibanez.co...cat_id=82&now=1 The bass is in virtually the same condition as it was when I bought it, the only real difference being the addition of a set of Thomastik Infeld flatwounds (which may well be worth more than the instrument itself!) which have been mellowing for a good few years now. As I mentioned above, this was bought as a project which never get off the ground and as such there are one or two areas in need of attention. The main one is the nut, which has at some point been filed to accommodate much heavier strings and as a result the E and A strings are pretty much impossible to play open. Upon closer inspection it seems someone has attempted to rectify this at some point with Blu-Tack, presumably unsuccessfully... In addition the tuners could do with being replaced and the chrome on the control knobs is flaking badly. With a bit of TLC this could be a solid, reliable addition to anyone's collection. Aside from the issues mentioned above, and one or two knocks and cigarette burns, it's in good nick for a 30-year-old instrument. I'm not looking to post this so collection only from (or within a reasonable distance of) Crawley, West Sussex please. Any questions, requests for more photos, etc just give me a shout. 13. Recently bought a head from Dave and the whole process was as pain-free as it gets - he even delivered it straight to my door! A pleasure to deal with, cheers
14. Just bought a couple of cabs from Mike and couldn't have asked for a smoother transaction, a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Cheers!
