1. Totally get all those. Will definitely be sharing.
2. British audio services in the US sell the uv lights. http://www.britishaudioservice.com/#!trace-elliot-bulbs/c26u
3. Been using it for years and all the family love it. We have the £4.99 monthly deal which works for us. Glad you have got on board with, enjoy.
4. Whole Lotta Rosie for us Sometimes we finished with Killing in the name. You can't really continue after that.
5.
Saw them last year on a heritage act triple bill with Go West and Hue and Cry. They were excellent and the singer (Gary?) has still got it. You also forgot how many great songs they had. I bought a copy of the 'Colours' cd from Amazon the day after, and it got some heavy rotation at home. Love the video! Is that Port Isaac? Looks like they walked past Doc Martin's house at one point.
Sure is Port Issac. It's near the beginning at 0.54 when they are walking down the path towards the main part of the the town. Doc's house is on their right.
6. We have them during our break in rehearsals. No need for a separate get to gather IMO.
7. We played 3 sets at a local pub we play regularly. It was a ticket only affair to keep the numbers organised. On NYE morning our son who drums was feeling really ill. Luckily our old drummer was available and stood in. He hasn't played with us from at least 18 months. Most songs were fine .a few interesting moments with some of our new songs but nothing we couldn't deal with Great fun all round. Fancy dress too.
8. One cover band i was in the singer used a stand and it looked really amatuerish. in my current band the singer makes notes on the set list for any songs he needs. Much more discreet. Like others have said, once you start you rely on the stand. Ditch it and which ever songs are a problem concentrate on practicing them.
9. Great documentary. I really enjoyed it. Catch it on i-player if you missed it.
10.
I thought it meant an Amp that was the dogs b****x.
Me too
11. It's a very tasty bass. Once when visiting Mansons I was eyeing it up and Huw Manson (JPJ's tech) got it down for me to try. Unfortuantely I had to give it back.
12. Years ago a band i was in played a wedding. We agreed to bring a CD player and plug it into the PA to play the couples first dance song as there was no DJ. Somehow I accidently played the wrong track.
13. Don't buy it myself. There would be loads of bleed through the vocal mic and there's none.
14. Ok. No surprise really. Thought it was due to some posts. At least not mine. Thanks for the clarification. Next time I'll PM to ask such questions. I hoped Peter crouch played bass and it was his and he secretly visited BC.
15. Yesterday a thread was started called Oooh I Say Mrs Peter Crouch and featured a picture of Abbey Clancy and what looks like a P Bass. The picture was from the Huffington Post http://www.huffingto..._n_5994450.html I posted at lunchtime and when i got home to review my content the thread had gone. OK. So it's anther teasing photo of Abbey Clancy, and one of many. The photos are easily seen on the web site and I am not restricted from seeing them with my IP filter on. Why was the thread deleted? Were some of the posts getting too risque? Some people like to get a bit carried away at times. I can't imagine it was just down to the photograph. When I click on my history I get the error message [#10340] You do not have permission to view this topic. Hopefully a Mod will come along to explain.
16.
Does anybody know where I can get the tab for this awesome Extreme song please? I have tried a couple off the net but the just dont sound right Thanks in advance
Are you still looking for a transcription?
Ahh, that's a shame - great song though, great band too! It must've been fun trying though? Actually thinking about it, I don't think I've ever seen a covers band do an Extreme song before, pity! I did do a couple in a band at Uni but that was MANY years ago.
I once covered Hole Hearted in a duo, does that count?

18. There was a thread about this song a while back. I have a superb tab / transcription if you need it. http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1
19.
I recall seeing Duff McKagan horribly screw up the intro to sweet child O' mine in Paris on video, he knew it too.
Thank god for that. I feel much better. I fluffed it recently at a gig and had to stop. Started on the wrong note and never recovered.
20. My Ray of course. What else do you need?
21. But all the punters will want to stand up fot the key change. Oops, sorry wrong band. I thought I was on the Westlife forum!
22. Don't forget there is a key change at the end too. Good fun song when nailed.
23.
Couldn`t this one and the South West meet up be combined? If it is in Devon, then that is in the South West, and be accesible to more people further inland.
Same thoughts here.
24. Always good to see another new member from the US. Welcome and enjoy the forum.
