  1. A lovely looking 4 bolt Jazz! GLWTS.
  2. That’s a great looking bass, just one string too many for me! When you say it has never been outside the house.....do you mean before these lovely pictures were taken or is it that the inside of your house is in fact modelled on an immaculate garden?!?! 😁 GLWTS!
  3. Fender USA Jazz Bass from 1995. Finished in two-tone sunburst with what is now an off white pickguard. The pictures make it look white but it has definitely changed colour over the years! The frets and rosewood fingerboard are in good condition with some great grain on show, the satin maple neck feels great in the hand and appears to have lost a little of the satin. The chrome is also in nice condition. There are some minor nicks, dings and surface scratches but for a 27 year old bass, I believe it to be in well above average condition. It plays and sounds as you would expect from a good Jazz. The semi-solid Armourdillo case is in great shape and has a neat zippered top section which contains plenty of storage for an iPad, books, strings, cables etc. I will happily ship (at buyer’s expense and risk) if required but it will be very well packed. Collection in person welcomed!
  4. Welcome JBM!
  5. Welcome!
  6. Nice weight!
  7. That’s a great book but every time I look at it I want another bass! The picture is of a 72 which did indeed have the P style truss rod. It did however change a couple of years later and the bass in question from the OP appears to be around 1977.
  8. I’m confused too! I’m no expert but would expect to see an S7 serial number with the bullet truss rod nut at the headstock end. I believe this change was around late 74 early 75. The tuners look correct with the little r after Fender. Do you have any pictures of the underside or end of the heel? Can you see any extra screw holes or just the three expected for an S7 Bass? The inking was often very feint (illegible!) on many 70s Fenders but any date codes might help. I believe you are right to question this and hopefully some more knowledgeable BCers can add more!
  9. I’ve had many PJB combos and cabs over the years and love the clarity they provide. Just bought the tiny Double Four for home practice and it is another quality PJB combo. I would imagine this bigger brother is even better!!! GLWTS.
  10. That is a lot of bass for not a lot of money. I have always found Cort basses well made and very nice players. GLWTS.
  11. That looks absolutely beautiful and in superb condition. Although she doesn’t know as yet, I’ve just completed an Autotrader advert for the wife’s car.....well she does keep moaning that we have two cars and only need one! Wish me luck with the sale!!!
  12. Dave bought my Barefaced One Ten. A straight-forward sale, instant payment and great communications throughout. Thank you.
  13. Lovely! Tulip tuners too. I’m sure prospective buyers would be keen to know the weight. GLWTS.
  14. That is impressive! I find their service impressive too.
  15. Last time I had a KFC, holding the box was messy enough!
  16. Oh wow....I need to go and lye down after seeing that. Beautiful.
  17. I have switched flats from bass to bass before and not noticed any adverse effects. I’m sure they will soon be fine again.
  18. As requested! I’m looking forward to finding some time to have a good play and then clean it! It has roundwounds on at the moment......
  19. Thank you, really useful to know!
  20. Interesting point regarding the JMJ Mustang using Fender long scale flats - I had no idea that was the case and can clearly see on the Fender website the E and A strings (not the silks) wrapped around the tuning posts!
  21. I’m a big fan of Eich. I had a T500 head and a 112XS cab, superb sound and quality German build.
