  1. Thank you Hutton. Best wishes to you.
  2. In overall great condition. This is a very good example of these versatile basses with P/J pickup configuration plus 3 band eq. I got hold of a genuine Fender single ply gold (not anodised) pickguard from an earlier deluxe which is a perfect fit and didn’t need any additional holes in the body. I just needed to drill a small hole for the active/passive switch. The gig bag is superior to the standard Fender deluxe versions with greater protection and like the bass is in great condition. UK sale only and postage possible at the buyers expense and risk. Collection in person welcomed.
  3. Hi, It’s David here - ex CBG. Thank you for all the kind words, I am indeed okay but since 2017 have had multiple ongoing family health issues which unfortunately meant that everything Bass related (as well as other things!) were pretty much abandoned. With hindsight, I would have loved to have reached out at the time and explained the situation, and of course thanked all my great customers for so many enjoyable and pleasant transactions and communications......as I say, with hindsight, so apologies. I am most unlikely to resurrect CBG so will just be a regular bassist suffering from GAS! It also means a few personal Bass related items will soon be listed under MungoBass. David
  4. That had already gone through my mind....... Sadly, side position dots in the wrong place would then create too much anxiety for me......
  5. What a fantastic looking bass. Thank goodness it doesn’t have any frets......otherwise I’d be in trouble - again!
  6. Many thanks for confirming. A Thomann order might be going in......
  7. What a fine selection of classy basses! Congrats on your NBW!
  8. Looks like a good solution for home practice. Is there any noise (hum or fan?) when using on low volumes? Can it be used as a stand-alone headphone amp without the need to connect a cab?
  9. Love this and the previous Deluxe series basses. So many tonal variations and really well made. GLWTS.
  10. Andy Baxter sold a refinished 1966 V that weighed 4.5kgs. I wonder what this one actually weighs.........
  11. That is a beauty! Just to clarify (sorry), does it have a 38mm nut and if so, is the neck marked as A width?
  12. Very nice looking bass and these do have a good reputation. If only I had not just bought a Precision......
  13. I like the look of the black strings....what are they?
  14. I agree with this and the stamps in the neck pocket look to be from the factory too. I have seen the same discolouration around the pickup under the pickguard on other natural vintage Fenders. The solder on the pots has clearly been ‘touched up’, which can be a sign of a refinish, but I’m fairly confident this is not the case here. Nice bass and case!
  15. Takes me back to my youth when I lusted after H/H gear..... Lovely.
  16. That looks in amazing condition and very rare to see all the ‘F’ caps on the knobs!
  17. I bought a brand new Precision for less than £100, fitted a set of Fender flats and was delighted with the deep vintage sound. It had an excellent set up on delivery and the fret work was spot on with no sharp ends. The only thing I didn’t really like was the headstock shape.....needed a ‘tele’ style makeover! I would happily buy another HB based on this experience.
  18. Very nice indeed. I usually associate 75 Jazz Bass RIs as being natural with maple and black blocks, nice to see such a good looking variation. I have a Jazz with TI flats.....works for me!
  19. Wow, just wow! What a wonderful find.
  20. Lovely! That binding looks very classy. What are the electronics?
