  1. Looks like a good solution for home practice. Is there any noise (hum or fan?) when using on low volumes? Can it be used as a stand-alone headphone amp without the need to connect a cab?
  2. Love this and the previous Deluxe series basses. So many tonal variations and really well made. GLWTS.
  3. Andy Baxter sold a refinished 1966 V that weighed 4.5kgs. I wonder what this one actually weighs.........
  4. That is a beauty! Just to clarify (sorry), does it have a 38mm nut and if so, is the neck marked as A width?
  5. Very nice looking bass and these do have a good reputation. If only I had not just bought a Precision......
  6. I agree with this and the stamps in the neck pocket look to be from the factory too. I have seen the same discolouration around the pickup under the pickguard on other natural vintage Fenders. The solder on the pots has clearly been ‘touched up’, which can be a sign of a refinish, but I’m fairly confident this is not the case here. Nice bass and case!
  7. Takes me back to my youth when I lusted after H/H gear..... Lovely.
  8. That looks in amazing condition and very rare to see all the ‘F’ caps on the knobs!
  9. I bought a brand new Precision for less than £100, fitted a set of Fender flats and was delighted with the deep vintage sound. It had an excellent set up on delivery and the fret work was spot on with no sharp ends. The only thing I didn’t really like was the headstock shape.....needed a ‘tele’ style makeover! I would happily buy another HB based on this experience.
  10. Very nice indeed. I usually associate 75 Jazz Bass RIs as being natural with maple and black blocks, nice to see such a good looking variation. I have a Jazz with TI flats.....works for me!
  11. Wow, just wow! What a wonderful find.
  12. Lovely and a nice weight! I think a white pickguard would look good on it too.
  13. I have one of these compact and lightweight cabs - superb little units! GLWTS.
  14. Posted 49 minutes ago "What does it weigh?" must be the most-asked question in the basses-for-sale thread - and surely the least relevant in terms of the asker actually buying the instrument, especially this one! Personally I feel it is a very relevant question, especially after making the mistake of buying an ash bodied 70s Fender about 15 years ago without asking the weight. It was over 5kgs and for me, too uncomfortable to play even sitting down. Sold it quite quickly. As for this bass V, very rare and great to see one in such good condition.
  15. Beautiful bass! Every Shuker I have played has been superb. Sadly, this bass has one string too many for me! GLWTS.
