  1. I feel It is a lot of bass for the money and the wide range of tones available is impressive too!
  2. Wow! That’s what I call a heavy relic, lovely! Is the pickguard reliced too - it almost looks new in the pictures. GLWTS.
  3. I had a Jazz from the same year and by the looks of it, the same colour. I’m think mine was called ‘Chrome Silver’. Great Bass! GLWTS.
  4. Happy NAD! I too am a big fan of HB products - I’ve never had a bad experience and believe they offer fabulous value for the money. Just had a peek at the new price on this (really!) and have seen the 300 block at a steal too! Good find sir!
  5. Unused vintage La Bella strings. They appear to be ideal for a short scale 2 on each side headstock bass. The E and G strings measure 93cms from ball to the start of the silk and the A and D 96.5 cms. I honestly have no idea how old they are but they have been stored away and obviously never put on a bass. A quick look at the La Bella history shows they were in Long Island City from 1940 to the late 1970s. Hopefully someone one will be able to use them or perhaps they would even made some great case candy. I can post these at extra cost or feel free to collect in person.
  6. Price drop to £645. I’m reluctantly putting this up for sale after another recent Jazz purchase. You don’t often see these earlier Ash / Maple / Black block versions, most Maple boards seem to be with a Sunburst body with Black dots and no binding. The bass is in excellent overall condition with one very minor blemish as shown on the upper side near the horn and four tiny indents on the face of the upper horn. The pickguard does have pick marks and swirls but could of course easily be replaced if required. The strings are roundwounds and whilst I really like their well used dullness, others may want more zing! The action is pretty low and the frets are also in great shape. Controls are volume / pickup pan / stacked bass & treble / mini-switch for active passive mode and finally, mid for the two noiseless Jazz pickups. The fingerboard radius is a modern 12 inches and the heavy duty bridge is a great improvement over the typical BBOT! I would prefer a straight sale otherwise the wife will pull my bits off......again! Shipping can be arranged if required but pick up in person is most welcome.
  7. Very, very nice. I’m thinking of using the first picture as my screen-saver! That Precision is something else too. GLWTS.
  8. Parchment guard placed on top.....makes it look very pale.
  9. Thanks very much! I’ve seen your Precision and that looks great too. I placed a parchment guard on the Jazz (picture to follow) and now feel the tort will stay!
  10. Cream pearl was not on my radar......hmm, interesting. Not dissimilar to a 60/70s competition blue Mustang.
  11. Thank you, I will happily let you know. I’m hoping they are not like the La Bella LTFs on my Precision that were initially very odd, with unbalanced sounds. They are great now though!
  12. Many thanks to all for your input - I have ordered a set of La Bella MUS flats!
  13. Hi David, Welcome from another David!
  14. The grain, flame and finish on the neck is very impressive! The rest of the bass is rather nice too! What is the weight?
  15. A pre-owned 2021 Jazz finished in Sonic Blue with 4 ply Tort pick-guard and all case candy, covers, certificate etc. It has a slab rosewood fingerboard and with the now standard v,v,t controls I guess it is based on a ‘62 JB. The neck has more meat on it than Custom Shop stack knobs I have played but still has the 38mm nut. it is fitted with a fresh set of Flea GHS boomers which will be coming straight off, might put a set of TIs on it. I’m now thinking about an off white/cream/parchment pick-guard......although the tort does look nice....!
  16. Hi. I prefer to keep the full number covered as sadly there appear to be too many Fender fakes available on a certain on line auction site, meaning some unsuspecting buyers end up paying decent money for a budget Bass with a ‘proper’ Fender serial number. People can use these genuine numbers and apply them to a cheap bass meaning a buyer thinks they are getting the real deal. It is very easy to pick up a sunburst Jazz copy with a rosewood fingerboard! I’m not for one minute saying BCers would do this! I can assure you this is a genuine American Fender made in April 1995 and am happy to provide you with the number if you would like to check yourself. I hope this helps?
  17. Stuart bought a Markbass head from me. Paid immediately. Great communications throughout and a really nice guy to deal with. Thank you.
  18. In the very detailed description it says it is in good working order - surely that should give you all the confidence you need! 🤣
  19. Jem has just bought a P Bass from me. He came round today as agreed and made a bank transfer for the bass. He is a very genuine person, so deal with confidence.
  20. I do! It’s job at the moment is to keep the dust off it!!!! I could have used a bin bag!!!! 🤣
