1. I once bought a used Wal from a shop in London. Took it to Pete at Wal HQ for a service and he said it had been nicked a few years earlier. I gave it straight back to him, and he gave me a brand new Wal as a thank you
2. I'm starting to wonder if they've actually made it taller, rather than narrower?
3. Have Ashdown changed the chassis the CTM30 lives in? Used to look like this: Now looks like this, which seems more like the old LB30? If it has changed, and it's not just my eyes playing tricks, anyone know how wide the new one is?
4. It was on ITV
5. You can definitely re-board it. I had Brook Guitars in Devon convert a maple boarded P to an ebony unlined fretless and they did an amazing job - even kept the original nut!
6. Early 70s factory fretless Ps were definitely dots on the line and not mid "fret".
7. I like flats but personally prefer tapes, as they are usually lower tension even though the gauge can be heavier.
8. I would recommend La Bella nylon flats, white if you want a brighter tone, black if you want dark, or copper if you want in between.
9. Best rhythm guitarist ever.
10. Can you scroll through the six presets on each channel by pressing the relevant channel button on the footswitch, or do you have to select them at the amp?
11. These are lovely cabs. Big, yes, but the clarity and depth coming out of them is a thing of beauty.
12.
cheers just done that it's loads better
13. I always use harmonic and fretted at the 12th, not open and fretted.
14. This might help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNdiB2gAUSA
15. Recently purchased on here. Only reason I'm selling is I fancy Tom's TA503 currently for sale here too. Everyone knows the deal with these amps, but if you don't the full Markbass spec is here. Classic Markbass sound, and with 800 watts on tap at 4 ohms this version has headroom for days. September 2014 and Indonesian-made. Excellent condition save for a small scuff on the fascia in one corner (from where the case's zip has rubbed). Includes official Markbass bag too, also in excellent condition. New, this would be £620 + £50 for the bag, so £375 posted fully insured to your door is a very good deal for an amp in this condition.
16. I'm surprised this hasn't sold. The headroom from the Ninja head is unreal, and the cab really can shift some air.
17.
Postage?
Included in the price, but they are now sold.
18. Lightly used, this is the standard gauge set: they sound enormous, but are actually low tension! Silks are in good condition. I used them on a string through body bass. String Gauges: .060, .070, .094, .115, .135 Extra-Long Scale: 760N-B- XL - 38" Ball-End to Silk
19. My two Franz basses are the best I've owned. I've had around sixty basses in my 36ish years of playing, many of which were expensive boutique instruments (e.g. lots of Wals, Smiths, Overwater, ACG etc.) but these basses are without doubt my favourites.
20. Stunning bass!

I took the same picture with my two!
