1. I've tried loads of different bags over the years, but both my basses now live in Mono Vertigo bags and I don't think that will change
2. He's been on BC for a long time, but as I couldn't find a feedback thread for Mike I've decided to start one. Just sold an amp to Mike. A super smooth deal with prompt payment and excellent comms all through the process. Very happy to recommend him
3. I'm not sure the tuner out would give you enough signal to drive a power amp. You'd probably be better off using the XLR.
4. Yes, that's the GP12XV, which was the front end of a rack preamp, three valve heads, and the 1225V combo in the early 90s. I don't remember seeing them in a straight 2x10 combo though: the 1225V had offset 10" and two 5" drivers.
5. Thanks Raslee, that's useful
6. Bump for a price drop to £140 posted
7.
Just bought one of these and I'm really impressed - great core tone and a lot of tonal variation with the EQ, nice warmth - very powerful too. I payed £340 for mine from Andertons but some retailers have had them up for over £700.
Some complaints that that these are quite modest in overall volume, given the high wattage, and that the fan's noisy? Would you agree?
8. I sold a wiring loom to Pete. Not the most expensive transaction, granted, but carried out with great comms and quick payment. I would be very happy to deal with him again
9. Up for sale again bump. Only looking at a sale to well established Basschatters thanks.
10. Bump
11. The Metro is now sold. Cioks still available.
12. I am selling my Providence Dual Bass Station. This is a really useful pedal if you like to use two basses at each gig, or have two pickups on an upright, or want two differnet eqs for one bass, as you effectively have two 3 band preamps in a very tidy little package. Sweepable mids mean it has very versatile EQ options. It also has loads of headroom. A review is here, and a sound sample here. This one is in overall excellent condition. A couple of little chips have been covered with a matching nail varnish and then lacquered. There are no feet, but it has two strips of heavy duty velcro on the bottom, and comes with a UK power supply. No original box I'm afraid. Andertons and Thomann list these for £250: I am firm on £140 posted 1st Class Recorded in the UK.
13. Unit is now out of the bass and ready for posting. Images have been updated in the OP.
14. John was kind enough to put a new wiring harness together for me, but it was only after it was delivered that I realised I'd ordered solid and not split shafts by mistake, so I haven't fitted it. It's a 500K CTS log pot for the volume and a 250K CTS pot for the tone, both solid shaft in medium thread which is 3/8" long. The capacitor is an old Sprague 0.1uF, which John told me would give a velvety mellow tone. The wires are PVC insulated, all finished off with a Switchcraft jack socket. As usual with John's stuff, it comes pre-wired and fitted with a solderless connection, so dead easy to fit. It also comes with a pair of black Gotoh knurled dome knobs, which cost me another £10. The harness cost me £35: as it's brand new and never fitted I'd like £30 sent Recorded Delivery.
15.
I'm interested but live in germany, do you happen to know how much shipping would be? I have a lot of gear that I am willing to trade. Can give you a list and make pics when I'm back home (8th Sep).
I'm not interested in any trades thanks. If you message me your address I'll get a shipping price for you.
16. I sold an HPF pedal to Tom. Very smooth deal and happy to recommend him 100%
