1. Yes, thermo ash in the body and neck. Thanks chaps. Xaver is really moving along today. First finish has just gone on
2. Some routing has been done
3.
Aarrgh where were you a week ago? Ive just bought a multicomp
Sorry Lee
4. Recently bought this used to use with my upright, but on reflection I think what I really need is a HPF to cut the rumble Really easy to use, very subtle but effective. A few marks but nothing serious. Velcro on bottom. Standard 9V DC centre negative power supply in a Boss(ish) sized case. Here's Rene doing his thing with one . These are £179 new. I am firm on £100 posted. Paypal gift is fine or you cover fees. Thanks for looking. Gareth
5. This being the first bolt on version of this model of bass, Xaver is using the design he uses on his Merak bass. It's nice and clean.
6. Xaver has been so busy he's put completion back to second week in July, but real progress has been made.
7. I sold a gig bag to Jonny. A "smooth as you like" deal, with great comms from him all the way. He's a good 'un
8. Very many congratulations, that's great news.
9.
What scale are Wal basses?
34" standard

I sold a One Spot PSU to Tony. As I said in my previous post, he's a pleasure to deal with.
11. My new rig. 1000w goodness into two three-way cabs.
12. I read recently from a shop owner that QC has improved following the relocation of manufacture to Indonesia. I have owned Indonesian and Italian made Markbass amplification and can't say I've seen any drop in quality.
13.
Just out of curiosity, a question to anyone who's played the Mk2: how comfy is the access to the highest frets (22nd-24th)?
Not very, actually, as the cut out is only really at the front of the cutaway. You'll see what I mean in the picture below.
Not a massive fan of the MK2 shape myself. I think MK1 for four string and MK3 for fives and sixes
I agree. Having owned many Wals of all three versions, a well balanced (i.e. no neck dive) and not too heavy MKI wins for 4s, and I'd go MKIII every time for a 5 or 6.
14. I sold Jason some patch cables. A simple, speedy transaction with quick payment and great comms. He's a good 'un!
15. The DC-4 is new and unused, whereas the DC-2 is an older version and has had light use. Cost me £16 but will sell for £12 posted.
16. New and unused, apart from testing. 3 x PCF-DL10 (10cm cables) 2 x PCF-DL18 (18cm cables) £20 posted
17. Truetone One Spot with two Mooer daisy chains. Bought from Bearfist a few weeks ago but I've decided to go with a Cioks power supply, so I've tested but never used it. Asking £17 frim, which is wait I paid for it.
18. I sold a PT Nano to Graham. Great comms and quick payment on a simple transaction. Very happy
19. I bought a Mooer Baby Tuner from Pete. Great comms on a simple transaction. Very happy
20.
Yeah, it's fab. Love that fat, warm west-coast sound.
Yes, that Pete Asher/Andrew Gold fulcrum really delivered on her mid 70s albums.
21.
The Hiscox is just a tiny bit too short.
They make a larger version which, by coincidence, is teardrop shaped. Internal guitar case dimensions: Length 1245mm 49 " Lower Bout 393mm 15 1/2" Upper Bout 337mm 13 1/4" Body Length 558mm 22 " Body Depth 70mm 2 3/4"
