1.
One singer would regularly introduce me by saying "He played with Joe Cocker for many years", which was a total lie.
Could have been worse, he could have said Elton John.
2. I'll bet he is never without a woman at the end of the night though.
3. My 610 HLF is an SLM USA one and is made from OSB (Oriented Strand Board). I believe the Vietnamese ones are plywood.
4. As Epiphone did do a short scale EB3 for a while, it might be worth enquiring as to the length of the case. Edit - comparing to my short scale case it does look longer.
5. Did you manage to sort your problem at all?
6. Used to watch him weekly performing with The Liverpool Scene in O'Connors Tavern, Liverpool http://youtu.be/1gmpQC2BNfg
7. Try inserting a jack plug in and out of any send and return sockets a few times and maybe spray in a little switch cleaner.
8.
"Do you know if he used the same gear for "Badge"?
Was is not Felix Pappalardi who played bass on Badge.
9. Make sure they give you the shim, mine came without, they said it was optional. I told them the option is for me to either fit it or not, not for them to supply or not. It arrived the next post. Edit, Turns out I did not need it but I had paid for it so wanted it.
10. Free. The few times they came to play in Liverpool I was out playing myself.
11. When using my EB3 I pass the strap under my belt to stop neck dive. This will also help those players with no arse whose trousers won't stay up and the crutch is down by their knees.
12. I have just fitted one to my Epiphone Elite EB3. Came today from the Bass Centre, £99.00. Easy to fit and set up. Reason for doing it was that on the original the "d" saddle was too low meaning I had to higher the others to stop the d string buzzing. I tried making a new saddle from brass but never got it to fit snug enough in the bridge so causing a buzz. Also I was having to thread 4mm nuts on the strings to keep the ball end windings off the saddles. This bridge has solved all those problems.
13. The whistle I have in my left ear started after I had had micro suction about two years ago to remove ear wax. I also felt as if my ears had become more sensitive, everything was now too loud whether playing or watching bands. The foam or silicone plugs I had been using were no longer effective. I went to Specsavers for custom moulded plugs, Elacin Er25s, and wished I had done it years ago. I never really liked putting plugs in my ears, they sometimes made me feel nauseous, but I don't know the Elacins are in. I am never without them now, I can still hear conversation with them in but when the band kicks off it is like standing outside. Money well spent.
14. And for those that missed it... http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/p032v07p
15. Just looked at this local bands gig list and they are playing at the same bar every Wednesday, even in 2016 and more. http://amazingkappab...gigs/4589791928
16. Using index finger on the enter key... using index and middle finger... Hmm, may be better if I play with one finger.
17. Some models of the Thunderbird IV had the pickups wired in series instead of Parallel.
18. I have a pair of Uniross Hybrio PP3s that need charging for 19hrs 30mins at 14mA. I can't find a charger that will do that. My wall wart 9v Ni-Mh charger with auto cut off will not fully charge them unless I put them through twice. I have only just tried this (double charging) and so far so good up to now. They have lasted longer than a single charge. Would prefer to have a dedicated charger though as I am not sure if doing this will have any adverse effects.
19. I have had Elacin ER25s for a few weeks now, I wish I had have got them years ago. I wear them as a player and as a punter. Everything was always too loud for me before, even when wearing Alpine 15s, I used to stand at the back or behind walls/columns when watching bands. Now I hear everything, just at a lot lower level. A bit like standing outside. Funny that it never bothered the mates I was with.
20. You may be passing up on the opportunity of being one of the greatest bass players of all time, you could be up there with Homer Simpson.
21. I was getting it when I first started playing mine, and now that you have mentioned it I don't remember hearing it for a while now. Maybe I have changed my right hand technique without realising.
22. I keep getting phone calls telling me I have £thousands owed to me from ppi. I have never written any music.
