1.
Come to think of it, I'm not 100% sure I want to part with it
In which case, don't. Or you'll start kicking yourself the moment it leaves your hands.
2. We had our first ever heckler at last night's gig. A man on crutches complaining about our material. It concerned me slightly, until I overheard him afterwards telling someone that he was off to a rave, and would then be getting on a plane to 'Libyeria' to go rescue some people...
3.
By all means sell some stuff ... but keep enough back that you can pop out of retirement at a moment's notice... ... because you can guarantee you'll get the call as soon as you've exchanged the cash and settled down to a lifetime in your slippers
I agree entirely.
4.
Take him easy. The late Tiny Tim gave Al a ferocious leathering at Woodstock when Al laughed at Tim's ukueueuelele. Tim got a BJ from Grace Slick off the back of that. Al went home in an ambulance and turned to God.
If I recall it correctly, didn't the Rev.Green give Tony Goggle a fearful kicking outside a Starbucks many years ago in an argument over a tin of pineapple chunks?
5.
How about a Bass chat band swap, that could be interesting.
No chance. I get to stand behind Sian and Abi while they shake their collective booties... I ain't swapping my view for nothin'.
6.
- No camaraderie. Not at rehearsals, or at a gig. Feels like 5 individuals, not 1 band
For me, this alone is reason enough to walk away. No bond, no band, no point.
7. One of these days, i will give up bands for good. It will be either a} when my hands become too arthritic to play, or b} when i become too old and frail to lift a bass, or c} when they screw the lid down.
8. Oh how I remember having an altercation many years ago with a studio engineer... Heard him EQing the hell out of my Wal's sound on the track i'd put down, asked him what he was doing and he replied "I was trying to get a sort of Ricky sound on it...". I politely informed him that if i'd wanted it to sound like a Ricky, guess what? i'd have used a feckin' Ricky in the first place, and so would he please mind leaving my tone alone thank you very much. Arse.
9. Amp: Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with two 1x15" cabs Amp EQ settings: all three Signal Shape buttons engaged; all shelving controls flat. Bass EQ settings: slight bass boost, all others flat.
10.
These are great in Sue Ryder basses!
Oh I say, what a cracking sales pitch
11.
Not long after Homer left the outfit, Roadie/Driver and backing singer Van Morrison left as well, but things went down hill then, and they became... Van-less, Homer-less, Still Broke, Norfolk n Tallent. Garry
Thankfully their chromatic-noseflute-playing make-up and nasal-hair artist "Chrome" Molly Piston was able to help them out, harmonically speaking at least. This led to the infamous 1988 Kazakhstan tour of 'Van-less Homer-less Still Broke Piston Norfolk n Tallent'... the one where Tommy Still was found wandering the streets of Қарағанды at 3 in the morning wearing only a Bay City Rollers sock and a plastic cocktail-monkey.
12. I love Ordinary World. So there.
13.
Only of the best combos IMHO
Absolutely agreed. Possibly the best.
14. I love her "I don't care what anyone says, I AM great" attitude. She has a long and successful career ahead of her as Simon Cowell's stunt double. She needs to get ripped to bits at a future audition. Maybe it'll make her stop and think.
15. What a jolly good idea
16. 8 months ago, if you'd told me that I'd have really really REALLY bad GAS for a 5 string P bass, I'd have laughed... EDIT: Santa, this one please. Oh everso, yes.
17. I'm in a 13 piece band, so once it's divvied up it's comes to near enough bugger-all anyway plus we do a few charity gigs that really do pay nothing. So yes, I would, and nearly do, play for now't. But if it started costing me large amounts of folding, then in the current circumstances i'd have to reconsider.
18. Rich

Gone......

English only please, guys. Beautiful bass, good luck with the sale.
19. Well, we've soundchecked... So anyone who's coming, we'll see you later. It's going to be a great night
20.
Indeed. As they say "You can take Goggle out of Norfolk. But you can't take the Norfolk out of Goggle"
If memory serves me correctly, Goggle once formed a DnB duo with the rapper Titchie Tallent. I believe they went under the name 'Norfolk 'n' Tallent'..?
21. Judging by the numbers I'm hearing, it's going to be a big night!
22. I have two Klotz cables that have given me faultless service since 1986.
23.
The only obviously dodgy bit to me is the photo of the wiring - it shows a standard bridge, but the bass has a Badass??
Well spotted that man
24. Some of the Tobias Pro basses were absolute belters. I had a sixer that was beautiful, wish I hadn't flogged it. The pickups can be weedy, but 275 is an absolute bargain. Lovely bit of flame in that body wood too. Looks like a great bass for little money.
25.
3 bass-schecter diamond,ibby800 and my P copy....no band due to bein crap.
Crapness is but a state of mind. Get thee to a band, sir, it'll do you the world of good
