1. I attached a homemade ramp to my Status bass using double sided carpet tape. It came off clean as a whistle when I removed it to sell the bass. A tiny bit of residue that came off easily.
 2.
Perhaps, one day, the person doing the leering and shouting will find themselves the only one behaving like that in the entire audience, and will feel embarrased enough not to do it again. We can only hope.
Perhaps, one day, the person doing the leering and shouting will see his own daughter/wife/girlfriend getting the same treatment, and will realise just what a loathsome tosser it made him appear.
 3. Re-opened at seller's request.
I am selling my 2015 Cort B4 Fretless Bass. The bass is in excellent condition. The only mark is below the EQ knobs (see picture). The mark is hardly noticeable but I include it in the pictures for the sake of transparency. Apart from this very small mark the bass is spotless. There is very light marking on the fingerboard underneath where the 'E' string has rubbed against the board. This is very light and to be entirely expected on a fretless. Cort basses play and sound way beyond their price range and the B4 Fretless is no exception. The bass comes with a months old fitted Cort hardcase. The bass and case have never been out of the house and never gigged. The bass is fitted with black Schiller strap buttons although the originals will be included in the sale. The strings currently fitted are Fender black tape wounds which I have found complement this bass rather well. I am asking £300 plus delivery to the UK. I feel this is a fair price taking into consideration the condition of the bass (only 2 years old) and the fact that it comes with a Cort hardcase. There is a big saving to be made here on the new price with case. I am not looking for any trades.
4.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Now put the 4's in their cases and focus on making the 5 work for you.
This. Play the 5 exclusively while you're getting to grips with it. Once you're happy with 5 to the extent that you're not having to think about it, get the 4s out again. You will find that, if you need to, swapping between 5 and 4 strings is quite easy.
 5. Been using Schaller locks since 1986, not a single issue. Yes they're a bit'functional' but I don't mind -- I adore engineering, so for me functional design IS attractive
 6.
Just found the Donald Trump headstock:
He has headstocks. He has all the best headstocks. Personally I think it's a great design. It's great. Great.
 7. I voted crowns. Blocks are a bit too utilitarian and Fendery, and the CHB deserves something more stylish.
 8. Yup, sums up exactly how I feel about Primus/Les.
 9. Alex bought my Trantec wireless. Nice friendly communications and he paid up straightaway. Top banana. Hope it gives you years of good service.
 10. This is easily the best cover of Mr Pink I've ever heard. In fact, I prefer it to the 'Early Tapes' original (flameproof underpants: ON). And that's a far better bass tone than Mr King currently has too. Great stuff all round!
 11. Hi Steff, I'd be interested to know how you lowered the polepieces on the original pickups? I'd like to do the same with mine. That's a beautiful bass (I'm biased!), GLWTS..!
 12.
Primus - sounds like total slop to me...
You and me both. I've tried so hard to like them, but no. Les is supposed to be a bass wizard but i just can't hear it. It all sounds so... amateur.
 13.
Like painting by numbers innit.
Painting by numbers in what?
 14. Mine's got a permanent home on my Tanglewood ABG. Seems to work particularly well on that. I didn't find it any good for low Bs, but for 2 quid I'm not complaining.
 15. Today's earworm: The backing singers make this video for me -- if you watch them, you can see that they're having the time of their lives here. I'd have given body parts to be in that band (especially with that Wal )
 16.
For a UB40 fan to say Bob Marley is overrated is [s]just weird[/s] truly hilarious
Fixed.
 17.
Still don't get how it was stolen if they live in it. Where were the band when it was stolen ?
From the article: "...on Thursday night while it was parked in Horfield and they were at a friend’s, it was stolen..."
 18.
The Rolling Stones. They have enough good songs to fill a greatest hits cd but that's hardly enough to warrant the 'greatest rock band of all time' thing being thrown around.
+1. 'The Greatest Rock'n'Roll Band In The World'? Ballcocks. What they are is 'The Luckiest Pub Band In The World'.
 19. It's never happened, but if it did I would point it out straightaway.
 20.
While people seem to be in let's-all-bash-one-of-the-few-remaining-specialist-bass-dealers mode, I do hope similar negative topics will now be created to attack anyone else who is trying to supply us with a decent choice of high-quality basses.
At a rough count, something like 10% of the comments on this 3.5 year old thread are negative to extents varying from "he's a bit rude but they've got some lovely gear" to "wouldn't go there again even at gunpoint". I hardly think this constitutes a 'let's ALL bash...' mode or a 'negative topic' really? And if people do have genuinely bad experiences, why shouldn't they share them?
 21. If it's what you want and does everything you want it to and makes you happy, it's worth every penny.
 22.
All of us (Scott Whitley, David from Retrovibe and I) will all being going to NAMM together. Which will be a laugh
Oh dear. Is there enough Alka-Seltzer in the world..?
 23. I'm not wild about the flat black finish, it's a bit too utilitarian/'stealthy' for my liking. I like exotic wood finishes (yeah yeah, cue the 'coffee table' comments). But that's just an aesthetic preference -- looks like a superb instrument.
