2. anyone got a black eagle? I know they're rare but that doesn't generally stop BCers
3. yeah its definatly a righty. Sorry for the confusion
4. I wasnt expecting to like this but I have to say its stunning!

The album is called The Company We Keep. released through Superball Music and Century Media. give it a listen if you can. We're on myspace, spotify, itunes, amazon, play, the list is pretty endless.
6. out of interest what do the nobs do? I take it its passive
7. I've always liked the 3001, If i hadnt just bought a new P-bass Id be on this. Bump for a nice bass
8. Cheers for the bump FlatEric. If you still have that next time I have disposable income I'm on it like a rash. I know a certain guitarist who would get very annoyed at me for aquireing it and its such a curious thing. I'd love to know how it stacks up against something with, well, a body Egg, Beans, Chips and a BUMP!
9. I've just got my hands on a 70 RI CIJ p bass in the same colours, I really hope mine goes this lovely yellowy shade eventually. I wish I hadn't seen the pics of the maple board. I'm so tempted! I think I need a hot pickup first though. It's a lovely bass mind. I just can't seem to put mine down
10. Just got Si's 70 RI CIJ Precision home. He really went out of his way for me, he offered to hold the bass while I drummed up the funds to buy it for a fair ammount of time (sorry ISA). He makes a mean coffee and is very knowledgeable. It's people like Si who make this forum the lovely place to wittle away hours of free time, exchange ideas/knowledge and buy and sell gear that it is. A true gent and a credit to the BC community. I just wish I'd left his wood and tronics where it was because the custom cogs are turning now! I would definatly deal with him again and looking forward to eventually picking his brains for custom build help and ideas. Top fella Cheers Si Love the bass by the way!
11. Yeah that's the man I like the RW burst combo too, he's really rocking it!
12. I can't decide what looks better on a p bass black black maple or oly White black rosewood. Either way this is really nice! Lovely bass good luck with the sale
13. Mine isnt on the list but I think Id have to say my CIJ 66 RI. It plays like a dream with its dots n bound neck. I have butterflies just thinking about it mmmmmmm

15.
Yeah I've heard good things about the VMJ, but everyone says the Classic Vibes are better for not that much more money. Thanks for the awesome video by the way - So far I'm lovin the 60s P and J basses. Not so much the 50s P, but its still cool. I prefer the look of the 60s P aswell, I like the way the pickguard curves around the body at the bottom, and I prefer the colour. I really hate the patterned pickguard on the jazz, but I guess it could be changed.
Tortoise Shell is the word your looking for I personally love a tortie, each to their own though. I have love for the whole series to be honest, If i wasn't a Fender snob I reckon I could make do with the 60s p and the j for the rest of my life easy.
16. Theres a vintage modified 70s style jazz too which is a pretty awesome bass. Id have either of the Ps in a second. check this out by the way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6Cd98DH__U

18. Another one has to go to fund the P-bass. I'm going to be sorry to see it go but needs must unfortunatly. Here we go 1983 Aria SB II Elite in Pearl White/Gold hardware I'm lead to believe the elite series was created for the US Market, simular to the black and gold model as used by Cliff Burton. It's pretty identical to an SB 900 apart from the neck profile and inlays which are the eye looking ones. The good bits All electronics are in top working order. Neck is straight and true with easy access to all 24 frets. Neck-thru construction Action is low and fast balances nicely on a strap or not. Recent set up newish strings I'm not sure how to sum this bass up tone wise, its very 80s, and it's everything you'd expect from Matsumoku quality wise. The not so good bits non original wilkinson tuners finish has the odd ding but nothing too bad. No extra routes or anything bass is in 9/10 condition EDIT Pics via email. Was previously sold by gaf bass 02 on here for less than I'm re selling for. This is because Ive sorted out some niggles and it has new strings and a case which it didn't before £300 for cash or I'd be interested in a trade, something japanese would be good, Ibanez Blazer/Roadstar, something explorer shaped maybe? I don't know. I'd like a straight swap or cash my way though
19. I'm having a bit of a clear out to fund a new P-bass so unfortunatly this, and a few others have to go. Early 80s Matsumoku factory built Westone Thunder 1a with the old style logo. 1 refers to the number of pickups and a refers to the active preamp. Model P clone pickup, 18v switchable active preamp. Controls are Volume, passive tone, active treble/bass boost. The two switches bring the active part of the pre in and out and control coil tap if you want it Fast J-style neck Bolt on construction gives a real P-bass tone. Bass balances nicely on or off a strap. Brass fender style bridge (works better than the bent bit of tin) Good bits. Neck, body and fingerboard are in very good condition. All electronics are fully functioning Intonation is good, neck is straight and true. Build quality is excellent as you'd expect from a matsumoku. Bass has had recent set up and Rotos. Not so good bits. Pickup cover needs replacing, this doesnt affect playabilty at all, just a cosmetic issue more than anything. Heads of control cavity screws are a bit rounded, I havnt had any need to go in there but they'll be easy enough to remove I reckon. Tuners aren't original. Control knobs aren't original (Gibson style 'speed' knobs) I'm at a loss for anything else Comes with gig bag, pickup prefered but postage at buyers cost possible. Try before you buy welcome. First to play will buy. Pics to follow or via email on request. Type westone Thunder 1a into you tube to hear it, video posted by the previous owner.
20.
Yeah but I am not to be trusted I love all of these
Whats the story behind the cow print jazz? I love it!
21. Well Eric, if you ever get around to selling a rail hit me up. Anyone spotted T-40 s being used anywhere in the mainstream? Friendly Fires had one in a video not so long ago.
