1. Don't fancy a p/x on a p do ya?
2. Bit of a long shot this I know. I bought the P off Si (OldGit) back in May/June. It's a lovely bass but after rehearsing with an MM equipped Sandberg California J last week nothing quite cuts it any more. Bass is a PB-70 (the non US version) The bass plays and sounds awesome. I love the tone and the playability but it just doesn't work for my band tone wise. I would like to trade for (cash adjustment a possibility) for Warwick corvette $$, MM stingray/sterling, ray 34, sandberg California J/P with atleast one MM pickup, G&L, anything else with MMs. No fivers or sixers though please. If you have anything else to offer just ask. Worse I can say is no. Here's a gallery to wet your appetites. 3. narrower than normal yeah. Wider at the bridge than the normal SB but not as wide as a fender.
4. Thats pretty. I have a simular Elite which from what i can gather is 99% the same thing. If you've never played an SB before you havn't lived. The neck is..... to die for
5.
A bit of controlled buzz is a big part of how I play. I like that almost distorted tone you get when you really dig in. P.
I agree. I use my sansamp with a lightish distorted sound constantly. Then when I want more filth I simply dig in deeper. If I think it's too much I just roll the tone pot or the bridge pickup volume off slightly. Simples.
6. Yeah I'd agree. I need that slight buzz to penetrate the mix properly. I wonder if this is true of all genres or just rock and it's sub genres? Any Motown/jazz/soul players think on similar lines?
7. I was rather taken by this in the original thread. Something about CAR on a jazz isn't there? BUMP!
8. Someone else scored a Ken Smith from crack converters. I'm sure there's a thread about these kind of happenings.

OldGit

Raised a cup of tea and had a good jam today in Si's memory, aswell as a 2 minute silence. Rest in peace old friend. Memories of you will not fade in a hurry. I wish you could see all the kind things people have said about you in this thread. Legends never die.
10. I've always been slightly envious of Sid. Dammit if only i didn't already have an identical p bass
11. I attacked the necks on my CIJ jazz and my T-40 with sand paper and they've both always been fine
12. I fancy an asat. There's something about tele shaped basses. The fact that it comes as a thinking too makes me want it even more.
13. Jesus Christ MB1. I wasn't even sure you played. That's a beauty!
14. CIJ jazz £450 CIJ P £500 Gibson Grabber £500 Trace Elliot T-Bass £450 Aria SB II Elite £240 Franken P £800 Epi T-Bird £340 And that's just the basses, and I'm only 23 and I have GAS
15. This used to be mine. She's a lovely bit of kit! Also BT is a good guy so buy with confidence. BT have you considered a J neck on it instead of selling? If it ain't broke make it better!
16. The Pantera fan in me is drawing me to this! Shame I have no practical use for it

No worries brother. It would make more sense if that was the reverse shape I think. Damn fender lawsuit (I believe)
