  1. Seller is a gentleman and a scholar, and the amp's nice too. You should definitely buy this. I would, but I've already got one.
  2. I love the La Bellas on my 70s reissue P Bass, tons of old skool thump especially with the tone rolled off. Great for Rock 'n' Roll, Motown/Disco, Ska and Jazz which is what I'm playing at the mo. My StingRay is currently wearing EB Slinky Cobalt Flats, which are pretty nice, just wondering if anyone is using Deep Talkin' flats on their 'Ray and if they suit? All opinions welcome!
  3. I really like the Markbass CMD 101 micro 60 - set flat it sounds superb with DB. It was a bit underpowered for bigger gigs, so I upgraded to the Markbass Minimark 802 - sounds great and has a decent amount of volume. For really big gigs, I use the MB CMD 121. I use a Fishman Platinum Pro (the old one) to get round the impedance thing - can't rate it highly enough!
  4. Gorgeous example of a beautiful Bass. I love mine! GLWTS
  5. Bought a beautiful 70s style P Bass from David and the transaction could not have gone better. Lovely Bass at a decent price, great communication, absolutely lovely chap. A genuine pleasure to deal with.
  6. Hiscox all the way! My StingRay lives in one.
  7. You might find the mic signal is weak because the impedance is different. Mics are low impedance, instrument inputs are high impedance. If you get an impedance matching transformer, you'll get much better results. I use the Audix T50K, but I'm sure there are other ones available!
  8. That is hideous... I love it! GLWTS
  9. Very nice but it's £50 more than the Bright Onion one that's too pricey!
  10. According to their site, they're not taking on custom orders. I will be going for Bright Onion though - they tick all the boxes (and I'm a sucker for a pink LED).
  11. I definitely couldn't!
  12. They're gorgeous but a bit pricey... I might be asking Santa for one! Bought a nice looking Levy's from another BC'er, feel free to keep suggestions coming!
  13. I love the VLE, it dials in a bit of Old Skool "Thump" that suits me. I'm not so keen on the VPF, it makes the sound a bit thin to my ears. Feel free to disagree!
  14. If you can find a Squier 50s P Bass, get one! £250 ish second hand, plays great, sounds great, looks great, holds its value... a great way to scratch that P Bass itch. I love mine!
  15. That looks rather fine. What's the padding like?
  16. Usually just black, but a nice tan or brown might work with this Bass?
  17. Yeah, that's plan B. 😛 They look incredible, but they're way too expensive and over engineered for what I need! Cheers
  18. I bought a Squier 50s P Bass from Ben, and he was great to deal with from start to finish. He even answered my (stupid) questions afterwards. Top man!
  19. I want an A/B pedal to switch between Electric and Upright, with a tuner output (or an extra footswitch) that silences everything. I like this Bright Onion pedal but it's £85 and has an FX loop and a buffer that I don't need. Anything you can reccomend? Apologies (and feel free to move) if this should be in Effects
  20. Can anyone recommend a good, padded strap that has a vintage look to it? I love the Mono Betty (I have one for each Bass), but for some reason the long black ones are now over sixty quid. I just got a Squier 50s P Bass and I want something that looks the part, but also has some padding for my aged shoulder. Thanks in advance!
