If it's just for storage, any bog standard hard case will do. For transporting the precious things, it's got to be a Hiscox.

Harley Benton stuff all seems to be ridiculously cheap and really well regarded - presumably a combination of Thomann's purchasing power and Quality Control? For that sort of price, I'll be chucking a few sets into my next Thomann order. The Adagio flats can be had for about £17 and they're pretty good - they were my gateway drug to LaBella DTFs.

The Tech 21 Sansamps are great and tick all your boxes.

Thanks for the input, folks. Turns out I don't want a 12V output (it was for the LEDs but they need too many mA) but keep the suggestions coming.

Hi all I'm returning to the wonderful world of owning pedals, so I need a power supply. I'd like about eight 9V outputs, one 12V output, a kettle lead power input and something small enough to mount under my pedaltrain classic JR. I'm prepared to compromise on the 12V and kettle lead. Which one do you use? Which ones should I avoid? Are the Harley Benton ones any good? I used to use a really old Cioks, but they seem to be silly money now. Thanks in advance.

I bought a Gator case from Douglas - he made it a super easy and pleasant transaction. Top man!

I went for this Ray35 from ebay. Not *just* because it's the same colour as my 'Ray and P, but... yes I'm shallow and looks are a factor. I paid 650, which is fair enough I think. First impressions are good; it feels nice and solid, really well put together. It's heavy! Haven't had it on a strap yet, so that's something to look forward to. It plays, feels and sounds fantastic. Lovely StingRay tone with the three band EQ (I like) and the three way pickup selector switch giving some lush sounds on tap. The neck is an absolute beauty, no rough edges and is a joy to play all the way up and down. Bad points: There is a quiet hum when you're not touching it, so probably not completely shielded (?)) and the notes are all in the wrong places 😃 I don't know if it's two and a half times better than a 250 quid S.U B. and/or three sevenths (?) as good as a full fat USA model, but it's undoubtedly a lovely Bass that I'm really happy with and can't wait to play in anger.

He's also in (and wrote much of the music for) Spaced, which is one of the funniest things ever to grace a television screen. If you haven't seen it, it's all on The Channel 4 on demand (4OD?) thing. Apologies if this has been said, I didn't read the whole thread!

Someone on another thread reckoned the Bass player from the Trampps (?) used Mayonnaise to deaden his flats. It Mayo may not be true...
