1. Cheers Marc, they are certainly a bit different. The main favourite EA nowadays seems to be the M12 Whizzy kinda thing. Difficult to find but they retailed around £650 in 2013 and are a less complex/equipped box than this. They seem to sell around £400 used on the rare occasion they come up. Thanks for the comments Pete, appreciated . According to website, they weigh 37lbs each (about 16.8 kgs) and that does feel about right. 2 proper speakers and tweeter, easy to move because of 3 proper sprung handles. Quite a technical box as Marc points out. Still hope they go before the Schro though,I just love Schros
2. Cheers Muzz, not what you usually call me . All pm's replied thank you. There are [s]5 [/s]7 folk who have expressed an interest, possibly because it's a great cab at frankly a very good price. I wasn't really wanting to courier this, but a couple have asked, so I will look into buying suitable materials later today. Cheers, Karl.
3. PM replied. Only one person vaguely interested which I find surprising as these are fabulous 3 way cabs. Think of them as lightweight, but extremely well built with top quality components. I understand EA is very popular with upright players, perhaps I should have advertised them elsewhere Cheers, Karl.
4. BaCH worth a look.
5. Gold plate, go all 50's Cracking basses Mr. Bob.

7. I need to raise some loot by end of November, so putting these fabulous little cabs (and my Scroeder) up. These 3 way cabs are individually about the same weight as the EA IAmp 600 that goes with them (NOT included in sale!) Sale only please, will meet up within 100 miles of Wigan, no extra charge. Feedback at bottom of thread. EA is now both rare and expensive in the UK. Any trial in Wigan No trades please, when one of my sales is complete, the other will be removed. If they(unlikely) both go at the same time, I'll be begging oldman or walbassist. I've not had these from new, I would guess they are probably around a decade old but they are superbly made, in very good condition, although there is some paint loss and a touch of rust around the proper handles. The plastic corner pieces have the usual scrapes. Thecabs will be cleaned before sale. 8. I need to raise some loot by end of November, so putting this and 2 EA cabs up. Sale only please, will meet up within 100 miles of Wigan, no extra charge. Feedback at bottom of thread. JUST A NOTE!. To get one of these to you home in UK, with insured shipping, customs charge, VAT and Roqsolid cover, you are looking around £1050 at todays exchange rate. Probably why they are rare in the UK. IMO a bargain at £420, sorry, no offers. Any trial in Wigan One bad point, this is in tolex and on the back, the tolex doesn't quite fit. Have a look at the photos please. No trades please, when one of my sales is complete, the other will be removed. 9. And replied thanks. Thanks for the interest folks. If it's still here, I'm going to withdraw on Monday. AS MANY KNOW,Photobucket is having problems, so photos linked here https://www.facebook.com/groups/689090051102626/permalink/1295450640466561/?sale_post_id=1295450640466561 Already less than I really want for it, it's far too good to sell at any less. Cheers, Karl.
10. Wow, fabulous looking rig that Gareth. I just missed getting two of the 112's when Thomann had the TecAmp blowout in early January. Ye Gods, I'm loving them 2 cabs.
11. So tempted by these. With the bottom end of my Streamliner I think these would kill. I've never used a Schroeder cab that HASN'T brought a big daft grin to my face. Some of the comments from the States regarding the "presence" of these little cabs just make me lust even more. Boutique yank cabs are expensive over here, insured shipping, import duties, VAT, the $. They won't be getting cheaper any time soon. Time and time again I revert to Schroeder. If I could afford to keep my magnificent 2 x 12 (with titanium bullet horn ooo err ) and get these, well.......... Still massively tempted though! Hurry up and get them sold Brian.
12. Definitely seperates as folk have suggested. Probably a head and 2 x 112's. Decide what sound and features you require. Do your research (Basschat really is an excellent resource for this). Then buy used from here, preferably from some of the guys with some decent feedback. If you buy decent gear used, you won't lose massive amounts if it doesn't work out live for you. Gear is VERY different in shop/bedroom/rehearsal room/ Ferret and Hat/O2. Welcome back, good luck, enjoy the journey
13. Auditions, well, difficult, there are always hidden agendas/dynamics that can take a lot of sussing. Getting older, well, not so sure. I'm 58 now and I've had 8 invites in the last two years. OK, most of them were from desperate folks with questionable hearing . I actually think Highfox, you've dodged a bullet and possibly sub consciously scared them. A professional band with no gigs done and none booked?
14. Bought a plate off Adam late Wed night, arrived Friday morning, doesn't get better than that. Great product, great service, great bloke, cheers Adam.
15. Previously owned by Tom so this will undoubtedly be a great bass. I know a lot of folk have this opinion that Mex's don't quite cut it. I only have one non Mex bass left, I only take Mex basses to gig. Love 'em. Bargain price for a great bass imo. GLWTS
16. I'd like to buy that please (if still available). Will pm in morning to sort payment (going to bed now). Cheers, Karl.
17. Flogging (or not flogging) a dead horse methinks. I know the last few were sold off relatively cheaply by Fender, but these were a very well thought of £700 amp 4 years ago. Only a few half hearted bits of interest so I think I'll give it until the weekend then settle myself down with it. Cheers, Karl.
18. I'm still trying GILLY but to be honest I'm getting the feeling it ain't going to happen. Good luck regardless, cheers, Karl.
19. Bargain! Fabulous looking amp
20. And yet here is a direct reply from Jeff Genz himself, referring to the Streamliner (personally I'm not advocating frequent changes but it would be kinda nice to try). "Hello Greg, Your experiment sounds like it is a true winner for your needs. The ability to modify to tonal characteristics of the Streamliner by swapping tubes is part of the beauty of this design. I think your choice of a 12AT7 in V1 makes perfect sense. Thank you for commenting and we appreciate you continued to play GB. Regards, Jeff"
21.
In this Digital Age, it would be so easy to take 'before' and 'after' pictures, so as to show proof of the problem, and its rectification. At the very least......................................................you know what? Ignore the pillock! He wasn't even worthy of the effort involved to finish my post.
Al makes a great point here. I always take photos of the bass as it's being packed. I will also already have photos from the advert. Never really taken photos of fret heights before, but I will now. Sorry to hear about your problem Thunderbird (I had one try it with me and it's STILL on my feedback ) but it will work out in your favour so quit worrying fella
22. If it turns out to be a pre amp valve issue, you might simply want to replace the troublesome valve with exactly the same item. Or as some have done, you might like to try different pre amp valves to see if you like different sounds. This is the thread I referred to http://basschat.co.uk/topic/191375-new-valves-for-genz-streamliner-any-experience/page__st__30__p__2778083__hl__streamliner__fromsearch__1#entry2778083
23. If it turns out to be pre amp tube, there's a very interesting thread regarding changing V1 to a Phillips. I keep thinking about doing it, but will wait until I give up trying to sell mine (ie when the PUMA that's up sells).
24. Yeah he put it up on here and Facebook couple hours back. Didn't tip you cos it wasn't road worn.
25. I presume you've seen the one that's up for sale on here? I'm far from a Mex hater, but new prices are getting hard to live with now (as are yanks).
