    I recently missed out on a bargain one of these, from a chap I know in Liverpool. Terrific amps with your choice of dead simple good sounding eq OR nuking that one tiny bit of frequency you hate. Very versatile. Very tempting

[/quote] Just Fender helping dealers getting the now discontinued standards through. Few months time there will be very few Standards left. As an aside, in 1997 I bought a brand new active USA Jazz. It was £697. The current range at that level is the Elite, which now seems to be around £1900. That is some increase, even for nearly 20 years.

I set my basses up like Sheehan does, there's always a little bit of buzz. When I (embarrassingly inevitably) move one on courtesy of the next shiny toy, I always set them back up to Fender spec. Even though that is really only considered a starting point. Always difficult for a shop BUT a little play before putting them on the wall might highlight any work and help sales. Not for box shifters though.

    My Am Special in Candy Apple Red did not sell, so very reluctantly I need to put this up. 200 Black and 300 Sea Foam Pearl were made in 2013 for Guitar Centre in the States. 6 Black and 6 Sea Foam made it to the UK. I have one of each. SO, yer actual rare in UK! Reluctant sale of the Black one. A few lumps and bumps, nothing drastic but don't expect pristine. It was rumoured the necks used were the same one's that the 1st Mex Geddy's had, but that's only a rumour. Light-ish at 8lb 14oz. P body, J neck, vintage P pup, noiseless J pup, Badass11, full spec below. I will include a tatty Fender gigbag. I FORGOT.     I've gigged for over 40 years. This has been going on for all that time (not every gig obviously). Think the original post was re The Parr Hall, pretty notorious for "difficult" sound since Adam was a lad.
