1. This actually is a rare recent Fender. IT IS A FENDER JAPAN 75 RI WITH FACTORY P/J. I don't know of any other Fender Jazz with this format, except Aerodynes. Please check last picture. EDIT, I'm talking cobblers, the 2014 US Hot Rod jazz was same configuration but sold for around £1600. Also limited run. There is a fair bit of info on the web about the FSR Ltd Edition Old Candy Apple Red P/J, as there were 78 made available. At the same time, there were a few white and sunburst released. I remember GAK and Andertons showing one in stock, end of 2013, early 2014. Around the same time as the 66 (which didn't have lollipops/dots) There are quite a few references to "hand crafted in Japan" for these '75s. A few bits on Talk bass and indeed Basschat, but this series is rare anywhere outside of Japan. So, a light alder (9lb 3oz) Fender Japan , Factory Special Run, '75 reissue Limited Edition Jazz with factory fitted Precision pick up. As far as I can see, this bass is immaculate. Comes with Hiscox Liteflight case (originally gigbag). At the time, they were £1149. I took this as a trade against my £700 Road Worn, from a very nice but determined chap. He knows it's going straight back up for sale. Old Candy Apple Red in GAK https://www.youtube....h?v=myjKSKOzCHk TRADES. Immaculate PUMA 900 + £250 cash to me. Immaculate PUMA 500 + £300 cash to me. I gigged this last night (with ashtrays on). Although I took it with intent to sell it (I still have too many basses) I'm only going to leave it up for a few days. It is frankly an astonishing bass. £700 collected from Wigan, £730 UK insured courier. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 2.
You could alternate by fret -maple/rosewood/maple/rosewood etc That'll screw with the 'experts' minds.....
Another evil genius!!! I like these thoughts chaps
3. Done a bit of research and you have opened a whole new world of lunacy for me Richard . Really kind your advice and offer of help, top man
4. Excellent Richard, very kind, many thanks for that. As you've got previous for this and you do a great job, you don't happen to have done a kind of build thread have you?
5. Half hearted bump. I really would like to buy GILLY's PUMA, but looking unlikely. The other chap who has one of these for sale is including a speakon/speakon lead. I will also include buyer's choice of lead, speakon/speakon or speakon/jack. Thanks for looking.
6. Wow, looks great well done. Any "before" pics? Any chance of links to products used (especially on the 'plate)?
7.
I like that blue yin at the back!
8. Thanks chaps. These basses are very well thought of by many. Couple of tentative pm's replied. They have been on sale since Jan 2009, although not that many come up second hand. Fender prices have rocketted over the last couple of years. Plenty "new" available at £1275 .
9. I can't do anything but speak from experience. I have a fairly recent Chinese Classic Vibe 50's Precision in LPB and even stock spec it's an astonishing bass. Fairly sure this series is also regarded highly by many.
10. 400 Jazz and 400 Precisions made in 2012. That's really not a lot of these basses for the world. They don't come up very often and it may be a LONG time before Fender do another run. Anybody liking, might be an idea to jump rather than hesitate. We all know with Tom, it'll be a good 'un.
11. I've got a decent reputation on here. Having just dealt with Alan, I still have a lot to learn. We did part cash/part ex. He did payment/box up before I'd even managed to sort a box. His packaging was superb, delivery time daft fast. Now, the bass received. A humble 2005 Mex Standard Precision, with upgraded bridge and pick up. Astonishingly well set up and he'd obviously just oiled the board. What a player and what a sound. Simply put, I simply can't recommend Alan enough. Thanks fella.
12. Nothing of massive value, but all good playing and sounding workhorse basses . 13. Rarely available in the UK sadly. Phenomenal cabs imo. GLWTS.
14. As per title, includes beat up Fender Deluxe gig bag. Currently £1275 new (see link to spec and price). https://www.gak.co.u...CFUoq0wodSQAC9g As far as I can see, the only used RW Jazzes for sale in the UK currently, are Rich's Sunburst and my Fiesta Red. Will the new price go up AGAIN in January? Who knows. Just been set up by Steve Robinson (Manchester Guitar Tech). TRADES. Immaculate PUMA 900 + £250 to me. Immaculate PUMA 500 + £300 to me. £700 collected from Wigan (or meet up within 50 miles), extra £30 insured courier UK. Feedback at bottom of post. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 15. Typical lovely Ibby with MAPLE board and one of the elite gear whores on Basschat. What's not to like! Good luck Tom.

17. Doesn't a firm do neons in white, green, orange etc?
18. Interesting upper frets access.
19. Thought this went on Facebook in about 5 seconds flat Dan, or was it another dreamer ?
20. Thanks for the review The Daivisch. They looked quite good on paper. Not sure of the GB Contour head, but I know with the Streamliner there is no issue with volume. Only reason I'm looking at moving mine on is I now have a Schroeder cab and Jorg really does endorse EICH (hence looking for a TecAmp PUMA). I was really surprised with the jump in perceived volume when I changed from Barefaced to Schroeder, although had to EQ completely differently for the Schro. Plenty of excellent used heads for sale on here. Is it perhaps worth taking your head into a shop or a bass bash and trying your head with different cabs? Thanks again, cheers, Karl.
21. Keep this, sell me the Fender 60th and I'll go stay at my mother's in Mowden (BIG brownie points)
22. Jolly poor form boy, I expect high entertainment from your humourous adverts
23. Right Tom, pay attention, I shall zay zis only wernce. It's not a Telecaster neck. Part of the evidence is that it says PRECISION on the headstock . As Jono rightly pointed out, it's from a CV 50's Precision. In this case, maple board on maple neck (now discontinued, replaced by White Blond). Folks call these a Telecaster headstock, but it's actually the original early 50's headstock style. This headstock style was brought back into production around '67 with the release of the Telecaster bass. Since then it's been used on all sorts of basses.
