1. Thanks for the comments guys, food for thought
2. Lucky boy, I've been trying to find one for months. Enjoy
3. The mind drifts off you know
4. Is it possible? Has anybody done it? Cheers, Karl.
5. Took this from a friend in part ex against my 4004 c11. It owes me £900 but I know I'm not going to get that as a cash sale. Even though they seem to be pushing £1700 new now. So, it's a 2014 Bongo, in Bongo case. Obligatory head stock chip but other than that superb condition. The colour seems somewhere between very dark grey and black, with little shiny bits in it. Plays SUPERBLY!!! I am actually in two minds, if it had a passive option it would be going nowhere, it really does play that well. Sorry about photos, the clouds are a funny colour in Wigan today OK TRADES. Straight swap for EXCELLENT conditioned 2013 onwards Fender P or J (or Hot Rod ). Might take a part ex plus cash I have a fair bit of money to trade up to a Fender Custom shop. Any trial in Wigan (your rig or mine) willing to meet up with 50 mile radius of WigaN, no extra charge. Insured courier £40 in UK. Feedback linked at bottom of post, any questions welcome. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 6. Damn shame it's in a different time zone to Wigan
7. I rather like these, work well on both Rick and Fender, not too taught, not too loose, well, for me anyway http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361711320377?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=631022568351&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
8.
Japanese Squires had the truss access at the the neck but not 62 reissues. I suspect someone has added a Fender decal to a MIJ Squier.
That's kinda what I'm thinking.
9. I had one offered, on Facebook, against a certain bass last Sunday. I declined as it's just too much going on. And I REALLY don't like the scratchplate shape.
10. Damn, damn and thrice damn, my unmentionable didn't sell in time. I'm going to cry now Er, sorry, I mean congrats.
11. It's interesting that both the new Jazz and Precision Mex Deluxe now have active/passive switching like their more expensive relatives
12. For me Martyn, don't remember seeing ANY 60's RI's with truss rod adjustment at headstock. Seen a few Squiers like that though
13. Think you'll find businesses need to "speak" to admin about affiliation
14. FSR 60'S Classic series from Japan, truss rod access? decal over lacquer? This just doesn't look right to me. Supposed to be '94. Comments folks? 15. Form indeed Link works for me, but that means nowt with my tech skills Changed the link to my page, 2nd video down.
16. Nice I'd remove the R word from your trade options if I were you Bump.
17.
Teaser for Karlfer and Marc S The Jerry Scheff is a ltd edition run through Steve Barr at the dudepit some years ago Its similar to a Jazz Bass in feel, but the pickups are more widely spaced and they are lipsticks. Also has a 3 band eq switched. Its a very versatile bass and much under rated. {its not a USA model]
1st dibs and heads up bagsied on the Jerry please (whaddya mean circling vultures!) I do have legitimate excuse https://www.facebook.com/karl.altdorfer
18. Only a couple of PM's here. Couple of students on FB waiting for their funds to clear. It's a £200, good looking (imo), well sorted, perfectly giggable bass. If this doesn't go, well, it's not really a big deal tbh. Always a decent back up for The Evil Ferret and Mongoose
19. Just a little addendum from myself, re the above. I required a "vintage style" Precision, however, Fiesta Red was not life or death for me and I didn't really need it immediately. Dan passed on Vic's message. This ACTUAL bass was life or death for Vic .So now he's got it. About 20 minutes after the bass left me, an Antigua Precision came up on FB. Antigua IS life or death for me . Karma
20. Colt 45, check. Swag bag, check. Stripey jumper, check. Mask, check. I'm going out, I may be some time.
21.
Unfortunately my band is finishing at the end of the year, so I am retiring and most of my basses will be sold over the nest few months so no trades unfortunately
Sorry to hear you are retiring. In true spirit of Basschat, PLEASE give me 2 months notice for the Jerry Scheff
22. Streamliner imo is a superb amp, but yes, cabs make a huge difference. Just as a short point; with B/F Super Twelve, bass rotary back to 9 o'clock, low mids boosted with Scroeder 2 x 12 (tweeter off), bass rotary at 1 o/clock, low mids cut That to get a tone as close as I can get to JPJ on Zepp 11
23. Fabulous, versatile basses that rarely come up for sale. Great guy to deal with, Vic makes a European deal very easy. Might be a good while before another comes up so might be an idea to get in quickly
24. It's very simple really. Dealing with Vic is like dealing with a great friend a few counties away. Not the 1st time we have dealt with each other. He makes dealing with somebody outside of the UK SO BLOODY EASY! Vic, you are a grade one legend and no doubt we will deal again. If you wish to deal with Vic, simply do not hesitate, you are on to a winner. Fully recommended, cheers fella
25. Sorry, rookie mistake Bass is in Wigan, happy to insured courier UK, extra £20. Happy to meet up within 30 miles of Wigan at no extra charge. Cheers, Karl. EDIT, typing at same time, thanks Tom
