No theory here I'm afraid. Started off metal, as I matured got into Jaco, got the tablature (quiet Bilbo please ) and learned so much doing it all very very slowly.
More recently using Youtube to learn some of Mr. Sheehan's stuff. I will never be a patch on either of those chaps, but everything learned is a bit more enjoyment.
Band I'm in are all 50's coffin dodgers,set up to gig once a fortnight, we will actually do over 40 gigs this year. I don't need to be Billy Sheehan to play live.
Take your time and enjoy every little success.
My greatest bass lesson learned? How to slide out of a bum note and get away with it. Mind, I've had a lot of practice with that .
