1.
Let`s face it. Facebook is sh*t. Stay away from it and stay happy
Not a big fan but the "youngsters" in the band use it for some communiques. I find it surprising people can F and blind to their hearts content, but can't mention Fenders,
2. Thing is Adam he didn't have the guts to warn me, pull me up about it, discuss it or even inform me I had been kicked out, he simply removed my permissions without even mentioning it. GUTLESS. Spoilt Brat-ish. He's a coward and a cyber bully. Your maturity at your age, shames him even more. There is a chap on here selling an Attitude 11. He was asking if anybody knew where he might get some interest. I hummed and hawed about PM ing him and decided in the circs it may be better if somebody else points him in the direction of Yamaha Attitude Ltd Facebook page .
3.
Puh, nobody has any taste at all if they like seafoam, antigua, green, sunburst, lacquer, natural, oiled or invisible.
Black, Lake Placid Blue???? If they hang or behead me at least I'll get a day off work
4. Many thanks to everybody (especially Clive and Bert) for all the support. Actually, I thought initially I was behaving like a brat ( no change there, I'm an old git who has lived long enough to deserve to be a brat) but it seems I am not the only one to fall foul of Facebook egos. It's a good resource, nowhere near as valuable as Basschat, but still helpful. It's the no trial that really hacks me off, and his message to me didn't mention I'd been kicked out. That is gutless even by internet standard. And Rick, I hope you aren't slagging off my new Mex FSR Sea foam green dude, beauty, beholder etc. Especially hurtful as I adore ALL of yours .
5.
OK, stirred up some dirt there. Anders has revealed himself and his tendencies even by his comments on my direct attack. Andy Philips, Clive Jones and Craig Danitz are talking sense. Now we'll see what happens. Karl, do you wish to get back into the group, or do you wish to drop the group?
Thanks Bert. In answer to your question I was removed from the group without anybody warning or questioning me. Up until then I had enjoyed learning and contributing. I would have preferred none of this had happened however I certainly won't be begging.
6. Sadly I'll miss any fracas, quote Facebook "................you may not have permission to view these pages".....
7.
Shall I ask if they should do the attitude in Antigua?
8. Mean while, back at Facebook page owners who chuck out toys
9. Billy often contributes and seems a real nice guy. Wayne, go get 'em son. Anybody else who feels like winding them up fill your boots . Some of the guys on here are members of the Attitude page as well. Guess just getting used to some of the childish little snipers who lurk in their bedrooms playing the big I am pisses me off. Not exactly life threatening, or even slightly important to be honest. . Thanks for calming me down guys. The real bad news is Wayne's page has put me on to the re-issue of the Antigua jazz. I turned down an immaculate Antigua P in 1983 because at £200 I thought it was too expensive
10. So, my thread was pulled, as was my access BEFORE I had even read his 1st message, saying I didn't understand the concept of the Attitude page. So, no yellow card, straight to red, access and threads removed. I responded, saying in 54 years never been removed from anything and that I was very disappointed with his censorship. Annoying I had contributed quite a lot and brought in a few members. ANDERS, you are a pathetic little despot and frankly you can stick you attitude and your ATTITUDE up your anal tract. Talk about "my ball and I'm taking it away" , you small minded cyber bully. And yes, I hope somebody on Basschat points this out to you.
11.
Well it does appear to have two jack sockets; maybe it's another copyright thing.
12.
/runs away!
Yup. I sold, sorry, gave away, one of that exact bass (number 142) for £800. Fantastic sound but ohhhh such a big neck. Pride hurt at being banned from something for the first time in my life. Not keen on the "it's my Facebook page, my censorship" erm, attitude. 4 Strings, you are the font of wisdom in this . As Gloria put it, I will survive
13. Posted the link below, making the comment "wonder where Fender got the inspiration for this one?" There followed about a dozen posts, non derogatory, most complimentary. Including the comments that it was a rather in homage to Billy Sheehan and his sad fans (I am one !!) Got a message that stating "I don't understand what the attitude page is about, please don't post about other basses" . Yes I do understand what the Attitude page is about. Then found access was denied. I don't understand what his censorship is about. I rarely swear however that wonderfully expressive comment springs to mind. You have boiled my piss matey boy. To be honest, I think I may struggle on this mortal coil without Facebook Yamaha Attitude group. My lack of contribution will be their loss, not mine. http://www.soundsliveshop.com/p/Fender_Deluxe_Precision_Bass_Special_Sea_Foam_Metallic/FEN-014-0038-349
14. Very good price, very good bass, non standard Mex prices on the way up, but it now peeps.
15. Kicked off Yamaha Attitude Facebook page for daring to mention Fender. Where the Hell do they think the origins of Sheehans Attitude basses come from. Come back John Hall, all is forgiven
16.
I hope you'll be really happy together. Like my mother said, there's someone out there for everyone!
17. If you've got nowt pleasant to say about my new girl bugger off
18.
I could hardly make myself clearer!
19.
PM'd you re my offer, your counter proposal ...and my re-negotiated agreement of your counter offer. Plus I threw in the possibility of collection as a potential option. I look forward with anticipation to your agreement on the pre-negotiated proposal in the aforementioned PM. GremlinAndy
? Bump
20. Chances are if it's not properly packed the courier will refuse to take it. If it was me I would contact the buyer and tell them sorry I damaged it moving it, no longer for sale. Then I would wait a week and put it on Gumtree and Preloved at £60 local collection only. To be honest, the buyer has been a bit naughty and dis- respectful putting you in this position. Oh, forgot to mention, I've been waiting for a courier delivering from SoundsLive. Been here since 7am and still no sign. So much for "it will be with you on Friday" Yeah, thanks Martin
21. I put it down to thinking now, hormones then . Yup, age thing.
22. Aha, 12stringbassist = Kerbcrawlers, noted
23. Yeah, for me the most important part of any bass is the neck (and the looks, I'm a tart ) as I think most modern amplification can make any bass sound pretty damn good. We'll see what the neck's like.
24. Useless Parcel Services, sorry, UPS have just managed to put a bloody great chip in the top horn of an excellent condition Epiphone Explorer. To the naked eye the box was packed well enough to take a direct tactical strike, but they maneged well enough
