1.
Here we go, 2 pages worth. http://basschat.co.u...ant-city-music/
Knew there would be a thread somehere, obviously wrong search criteria. Or maybe I'm just dim and old Quite a bit of hostility, hope I like it and don't need to sell it
2. Covers band bassist says nowt shocker . Hah, done some of that there recording stuff, all about the song, the team, the geezer calling the shots. If creative is asked for be creative. Then back to the Dog and Duck on Saturday being grateful people actually still listen and dance (and occasional boobies flash ) at my age.
3. Yup, MIM, cheaper by far than the road worn Mexicans though. Mixed reviews on Talkbass, but some of the SE Mexicans are considered to be very well made now (Reggie Hamilton for example). Fact is new prices have risen dramatically from most places in the last 18 months, VAT increase, fuel price rises all affecting every stage of the process. One superb Japanese 75 jazz re-issue would have cost about £1000 to bring in 2 years ago, now it's almost £1300. American Fenders have probably been affected slightly less price wise than most. They are really good value now, imo. Agree with you about the woofer but guess plenty of tone options with active. Biggest advantage over the Yamaha are the neck dimensions, the Attitudes are really wide and a struggle for me. Apparently only 150 of this run are coming to EUROPE! That scratchplate will be getting changed foor brown tortie if I keep it. Haven't bought a brand new bass for 11 years, kinda excited really. Karl.
4. Link should be to Fender Active Deluxe Precision sea foam green fsr, possibly the longest named bass on the planet. If Koernig...................made basses eh . Cant figure out how to get the photos up but link should work. Can't see any comments on here, but there are 3 pages and growing on Talkbass. Mine arrives on Friday (I'm such a Sheehan wannabe tart) so watch the sale section next Wednesday . http://www.soundsliveshop.com/p/Fender_Deluxe_Precision_Bass_Special_Sea_Foam_Metallic/FEN-014-0038-349
5. Sadly not, I did it the hard way, but to be really honest there aren't that many passages in it. Good luck and enjoy.
6. Welcome. Enjoy. Brace yourself for the GAS . Karl.
7. Welcome Bideford. I learn a bloody site quicker at 54 than I did at 16 . Enjoy it here. Bet within a year you are out doing your first gig (but with some hits on the bank account ). Enjoy, and never be afraid to ask, Karl.
8. Gig bags or cases with either of these Rayman?
9. Purple and brown tortie plate for me, but to be honest it's pretty spectacular whatever it's dressed in.
10. I'm assuming that's not this actual bass on the website?
11. Been waiting to see if a sale price might come up (bet I'm not the only one), very nice bass. Good luck, Karl.
12. Very sensible price for a great bass, why is it still here?
13. Must be, I always pay Euros in Manc
14. Glorious. THE Fender Jazz . Karl. Edit, 5 words and I can't spell them right
15. Always liked this colour. When this first appeared the other night I was so close to jumping in the car and up the M61, M6 and M55. Stunning bass, good luck bump. Karl.
16. 1967, at the ripe old age of 9, my first ever gig, Quo Darlington Civic. God knows how many times I've seen them. Apart from all the Big Fat Mama's etc, Unspoken Words, Gerdundula, A Year has gone, Railroad, wonderful wonderful stuff. Would be really great to see the original 5 again. Karl.
17. Send Aurora projects a template, they did one for me, with a very mild RickenFaker. Mind that was before Napoloen Hall got stuck in, I would certainly make it more derogatory now
18. Listen Mush, there'll be none of that hugging stuff from me, harumph. If you can play along to any full Maiden track, YOU ARE READY . Get out there now Milady, a band needs you. Karl.
19. Bump for a cracking bass and a proper musician.
20.
hahaha
Stop that you Bottom Wash-ist . Bump, don't want to look at this as I'm weakening by the day!
21. Used. Only new guitars are those delivered from distributor to customer, or that have been in a shops storage without being on display. IMO.
22.
Ha! Yes reasonable price all things considered, wonder how far it will go? If I hadn't just bought a '77 in similar condition I'd certainly have a punt at this - although I paid rather less for mine .
Wish I knew where you've done your shopping for the last few years Ash
23. Brilliant place this. Thanks lads, I bottled it and I'm so glad I did. Cheers, Karl.
24.
Hi Karl, There's a gig bag which goes with it.... Cheers James
Thanks James, Wonderful bass, thinking carefully at the moment but regardless, good luck, Karl.
