I also bagged an Aria proII magna guitar for my son £56 posted. I won a bass amp last week but because of paypal problems (their's not mine) I will have to wait til next week to get my hands on it.
I like the HB fretless but has anyone tried one of these http://www.rino88.net/index.php?act=viewPr...mp;productId=40 thinking of getting one.
I saw a 5 string Rockbass Vampyre go this morning for £127, not everyone's cuppa and it may reappear if it was being shilled. Nearly pulled the trigger as it was only up the road, but held back.
Yes, but I can't remember what I did. It was last night whilst having a jam/practice, Mike (the drummer) whent off on some obscure double beat thing and I followed. He said we sounded like Little Feat.
I had a 10 year break while my lad was growing up. I bought a book of bass scales and got into a local band. Several bands later and I'm still learning.
I have Ernie Ball flats on my Dolphin, they sound great. I'll probably try some other brands, I had the EB's kicking around in my gig bag so put them on. I didn't go as far as Roto Tru-bass, I just didn't think they would work.
I have noticed a few 2nd hand amps advertised on ebay for more than the price of a newer model. It's ok saying "I paid X pounds for this 4 years ago" but do you really think its worth that now?
I really want to try the LH500, it looks a good package for the price. When you look at 2nd hand 300-500watt amps that are priced around the £250 mark it looks quite tempting.
The speakers are Fane and label on the magnet says "extra high power, super efficient" they are 8ohms and have the numbers 42/79 & 15381 printed on the chassis of the speaker. I have e-mailed Fane with all the above info and am waiting to hear back.
