1. These are great amps and as someone said above this is a real bargain given the price for the dual channel model. I've owned a lot of amps and my one is a keeper. Bump
2. 1st proper outing with the BB2024MX last night. Man that passive output is immense. Playability with lighter gauge D'Addario's is 10/10. The toggle switch is exactly what suits me for simple yet effective adjustments and the tone control seems very linear compared to most I've used. I was very happy with it and I'm now just a bit 'over the moon' Peter
3.
Hello Pete! recognize this TRB 6 ?!?!? this photos were taken after some serious restoration process and now seems it came out yesterday from factory!
Totally awesome Paulo
4. I thought I'd share my 4 Yamaha's The BB2024MX is new and I'm blown away by the passive tone from these pickups. The build quality, given that it's made in Yamaha's Japanese 'Custom Shop' is perfect, 10/10. The neck is completely free of dead spots and the colour is like butter. I always missed my CS Ric because of 'that colour' and now I'm happy again. I always wondered what the 'passive fuss' was about and now I know: Now for a pair of TRBP's, my 4 and 6 string. Both 34" scale Mk1's: And finally my Mk1 TRB5 that's also in great condition for it's age, again a 34" scale bass. This one is probably going up for sale due to redundancy (work not basses): Peter
5. If Mr F would have removed the shrink wrap to photo the bass then it would be less new. Where's everyone's sense of humour gone? After all it's not as if it's a bloody Alembic Peter
6. The Moth is totally awesome!!
7.
Here's my response: If I'd have had the maple board it would have made my tattoo very difficult. See below... Rosewood is much easier to ink
Awesome tattoo there Sean. Puts my Koi to shame
8. I bought the bass from my local music shop Promenade Music. They compete well on price and give a great service. Gary is the man to talk things bass to. My Marleaux Consat Custom 5 is now in their sticky mitts (again). A really great bass but it sat in it's case not getting played. If anyone wants a Marleaux it's mint and rather nice in a very different way to the Yamaha.
9.
I'd demand a pick-up blend
And here's me with a switch on my Fender too I like the simplicity of 3 options, infinity scares me. Peter
10.
I demand more and bigger pics
When the sun comes out and I take the protective film off I'll do a Yamaha photo shoot outside.
11.
Ah, it's yours?!?! Excellent I thought it was Glenn Hughes one. I didn't know they had made a few for retail.
I didn't know until I ordered one and the dealer gave me the option
12.
I am entirely besotted by the 2024X and I have to say I prefer the rosewood version, definitely.
I like the rosewood version too, and looks wise it was probably edging the maple out by a tiny margin but, the previously unheard of option (to me anyway) of a maple board swung it and I'm glad I went for it. There a strong longitudinal grain which gives the maple a pleasing aesthetic. But I understand where you're coming from. It sounds amazing and the build quality is superb. I saw several Fenders and MM's for more than this cost me. Peter
13. It would be a BB2024MX and look like this:
14. I've seen this beauty. I loved it then and still do Jim is a fine luthier. Peter
15. Dave was a real pleasure to deal with. Instant payment and great communication. Peter
16.
Ah... I remember back in the late 70s going to see Sabbath in Coventry. (Van Halen were support!!). I got down to the front, up against the stage, right in front of Geezer's rig. I could feel my chest move and my ears rang for three days afterwards. Happy days!
Pardon?
17. We bought an oldish Honda 4x4 Paul and it has terminate ABS failure, a misaligned wheel, a yet to be identified rattle and a wheel bearing gone as well as some welding repair needed above a strut. The garage are a good bunch and they said 'think long and hard before spending any money on it'. We decided another car is needed Still that'll leave me 8 basses, more than enough for anyone.
18. The Sterling has now sold also. Peter
19. The Clover is sold pending and bump!
20. The car has failed it's MOT terminally and I've got 10 basses, something has to give. Clover sold. And next my mint EBMM Sterling 5 HS in stunning pearl white. One of the perils of having a few (too many?) basses is that some don't get used for no good reason. The Sterling still has the bar code sticker on the rear! When i received the bass I was surprised that it suffered a small but noticeable neck dive so I fitted a set of Hipshot Ultralites and they addressed the issue nicely. The bass is light at about 9Ibs. The original tuners will be included as will the original case in great nick. £1275 plus delivery charges
I feel you may have me confused with somebody else there Peter...and after a brief bit of googling I now see why! I have inadvertently become associated with Extended Audio Design, but sadly our only common theme appears to be Chorley as I'm a Barefaced abuser, although I did enjoy playing through Alan's EAD cab.
Coincidental, two EADs from fine Chorley. It'll be a fine bass too even if it's not from, err..... Chorley Pedro

EAD from Chorley? So Dave's cabs have taken on a completely new persona Looking forward to this thread growing Peter
23. My 1st bass was a Hohner Jack headless nt and yes I do regret parting with it for a TRB4. The good news is one has just landed at my work address and I'm heading that way soon The TRB4 should never have gone either but I lent it to a friend and his toddlers fair trashed it The other good news is that while I was out yesterday I spotted a TRB4P for sale..........
