1. I'm sorry but I don't see where all this negativity comes from. The guy is playing his bass and having a ball. He's brave enough to put himself out there and share, all good imo Peter
2. " The Rolling Stones are the best band in the World. I think so, so does my wife and our daughter and all her friends". That's from our booted lead singer/guitarist and band creator who refused to play a Snow Patrol track because nobody's ever heard of them
3. I'd just like to say, Duncan it's been a pleasure. I'm hoping that the Gallus finds a good home in the Netherlands. I've bought and sold quite a few basses to bass chatters in the EU and you have been typical in the respect of a courteous and pleasant experience. Peter

5. My Salace has won my heart. I've owned may basses and i've never played better and the PM pickup configuration is bliss. I need to get some decent light to take some of my own photos. I'll shut up now:
6. Whooaa Rita returns Very nice too, has she aged well?
7. +1, although I covet this bass dearly
8. Stunning woodiness. Mmmmm ebony Peter
9.
Peter, you can always make an offer.. Good to hear from you by the way, long time no see!
The only offer I could suggest at the moment Sean would involve a trade with my Clover and my ACG Graft. Money is thin on the ground. It truly is a lovely bass, Robbie has woven his magic well. Peter
10. That's a good price indeed, mine was over £2,400 new. These really are stunning instruments up there with the very best.
11. An opportunity to own a Marseer! Wow what a bass. I wish I had the money spare because I'd buy it no doubt at all Peter
12. If you're thinking in terms of bass, treble and mid then it's my opinion (for what it's worth) that you need to cast away such notions when using filter based pre-amps. I've said this before but with a 2 or 3 EQ you tweak your tone, with a filter pre you create it. Just my thoughts
13.
That's a better song than any other of The Weather Report's stuff.
How do you spell 'phillostine' ? Birdland vs 'It's raining Men'. Halleluya
14. Mark at Bassdirect may be your man too. Peter
15. Behaviour may be fact but maybe motive "and do feel that he's just sticking 2 fingers up at me" is conjecture so given the above it would be good if the thread doesn't deteriorate the way these kind of threads often do. The guy may be ill, if not physically then mentally, he may have other problems that put a gig bag return into a low priority issue. He may not be the biggest deviate since Jack the Ripper. I hope it's sorted soonest.
16. I'm surprised you need to ask. Headless of course
17. I'd just like to add in here that I'm serious about looking for a TRB5 (P) at 34" scale or even a TRB 4 at a push. I've both a Clover Expression 15.5 and an ACG Gallus Graft 5 that I'd consider trading as well as cash. Did I post any pics of my 6P? Great basses Peter
18. Basically its a sovereign. All is explained here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/163148-you-cant-beat-a-bit-of-acg-holly-at-christmas/page__hl__salace__fromsearch__1
19.
My word that is a good looking thing!! Would it be improper to ask what such an instrument would cost?
You'd need to speak with Alan but less than you might think Peter
20. The gap between the pickups places them close to the traditional. The electronics are active only as I've not wanted switches on the body preferring a cleaner look (I carry a spare battery too) but there is a passive tone knob (that works in active mode), bass, treble, treble boost pull and sweepable mids as well as active blend and of course volume. The pup output is strong, particularly the P at the neck. Thank you for the kind comments, Alan has excelled himself. It's my 4th ACG and he gets better if that's possible. Nice touches ooze from the bass. The wood combo was a shared decision with Alan. The walnut is really light too and the bloodwood accent works well being thicker than most at 4mm. The birdseye maple board has blossomed in colour too. The truss rod cover is really a nice touch with the ACG logo. It's mounted with a wee magnet Peter
21. I've been playing it a lot today. I've owned many basses, too many perhaps if that's possible. This is I think the nicest playing bass of them all. Peter
22. It's an oft used adage but the bass really is better in the flesh. With the P and MM pickups it really is ballsey in a traditional way that belies the modern look. Best of both worlds Peter
23. She's all done and quite stunning imo
