2.
3 months is a very[ short time to wait for a custom instrument. I'm also laughing behind my hand that John Shuker has quoted you 3 months to completion - a good friend of mine has been waiting nearly 2 years. There are many custom builders in the UK. There are lots of threads about them, try a search. Personally of the two options you give I'd let Martin do the whole thing.
Could you be assed to wait two years!!? Say you fancied a P bass back then but your GAS/taste changed to a Jazz...gutted! I think i'd forget it was coming.
3. I don't like the ying yang on instruments, it puts me off the Warwick Stage II Streamer with those inlays. I just think its a lil tacky. Its not a major put off but for the money! This coming from a man with a red burst bolt of lightening on a metallic gold guitar...Glad to hear your enjoying the Fodera though!
4.
MB1. It be a 2 band eq Oli!
Then thats the sex!! Too bad I can only trade n px about. Gutted, love blue basses all of a sudden!
5. Is it 2eq or 3eq?
6.
Split !?
I'd love to but I need a buyer for the head
7.
what kind of basses would you consider for swaps?
I'd only consider guitar amps in trade from now on.
8.
Hi, Let me know if you are interested. I see your from Carlisle / Cardiff. If you were around Carlisle next week I could meet you as I will be visiting Penrith. All the best
Aww damn, i'm in my Student accomodation in Cardiff at current. I only hesitate because I've always fancied the two pickup model - doesn't look as good as this one though for the condition.
9.
Errr split them ?
I spose...OR!! You could take the whole rig off me for a grand stack the 212s high with the 750 sitting pretty up top
10. Hmm, any advice on selling this or am I just looking to Ebay again?
11. I'd use it live, i'd only collect the really old stuff and use anything new till I got my £1200 worth out of it. They'll make a bass out of stainless steel or something one day and it'll make all our basses redundant a worthless like the old Hofners - You've all seen the Gibson robot!!
12. Love both the colour and the relic'ing on this - I used the mutes on my '94 sterling before it went
13. MECs are quite dull, thumpy sounding to begin with but adding afzelia makes it even funkier still - you can see why those Warwick Stage 2's are an awesome combo - as is this. My favourite tone. I'll always hold warwick in high regard, the pickups and neck profile of my 4 was fantastic... Even if it was only the simple Rockbass Streamer
14. Really tempted to buy this for £500 just to keep for history's sake, love it when people really look after their stuff.
15.
Need this gone people.
Why are you selling this? Probably one of the nicest basses on the site
16. Montezuma Brown is my favourite Ric colour.
17. Hi Ade, The BCer interested in the head isn't replying to my PMs so I'm going to have to refuse the split at current unless I find a buyer for the head then I'll notify you by PM if your still in the market. I'm only reluctant to split because I'd rather have the functioning rig to play basses/guitars through rather than only have the one component on a possibly long drawn out sale. I'd stick with the £450/£650 split price but will offer the entire rig for £1000 as an incentive for a buyer to collect it as a whole so I can replace it immediately. Many apologies! But i'll make sure you have first refusal if its any consolation just proving harder to sell than expected, hopefully I won't have to ebay it a second time. Its nice to see your currently using one of the cabs already
18.
I love F basses. The preamp is amazing! Good luck with your sale.
Haha, yeah just checked em out on youtube and woah!! I'd get one of these before a Sadowsky etc but that because i'm a soapbar fanatic
19. I have heard a lot of praise for the early ones, I can't remember what happened but it was one of the first things my 55 year old gibson enthusiast guitar tutor taught me.
20. Did you know, Tom Hamilton from Aerosmith used to play these!!? ...but it was sunburst and maple...but STILL! Howz that for a promo
