1. Thanks for all the interest folks! I should have mentioned that the only reason I would ever consider parting with my baby, is that I´m financially screwed. So trades wont really help me out of the mess, I´m afraid.
 2.
Top notch finish indeed! I love the Seymour Duncan Antiquity series
Thanks S, I totally agree. They really were quite an improvement over the stock pups. Just the right mix of clarity, punch and bite and they stil maintain the vintage vibe. Much better in my opinion than the alleva coppola ones that I tested.
 3.
Ha no worries, 'anorak' is just a term used to indicate someone who has a slightly unhealthily nerdish obsession with something, and is mildly self-deprecatory towards myself in this context. I just meant that one has to be a bit of a Jazz bass nerd to be interested in the minute details of Fender bass history like that. But unhealthy obsession is what basschat is all about! Anyway, all this has kept your lovely bass at the top of the 'for sale' section so that can't be so bad.
Cheers for the clarifications Lawrence... and props for keeping the thread red hot
 4.
Thanks WoT - indeed, hence when I asked I was careful to link to the source and to point out that Fender themselves aren't always the most reliable when it comes to that type of info! I was just curious to know if they started making those necks earlier than '74, since I really like the white B&Bs and this would be an unusually early one. I'm sure anyone who's interested in old jazzes is well aware of the pitfalls of dating them accurately since they can contain components from several different years in a single bass. Several basses on BC have turned out to be different years to what was originally thought for that very reason. I would think that if yours is one of the very first released with white blocks/binding it would make it more collectable. Good luck!
Gents! No offence intented, I assure You. Being a Scandie, I just wasn´t familiar with the term anorak alert, ..infact I´m still not:) Maybe you would care to enlighten me.. I do know, however, that Fender switched to the 3-bolt system in late 74, so I´m sure the neck isn´t all that unsusual. Good vibes all around
 5. Hey Guys, The very bass in question is for for sale on www.dba.dk . I´ve played it on a few occasions and it´s absolutely stunning. There really is a point to the rewerse headstock madness as it ads tons of meat and definition to the E-string - pure thunder. Tjek it out, I think his asking around 1600 pounds.
 6.
Hi Peter Thanks for the reply, I so wish you were in the UK! I'm sure you said the Pentabuzz was the ultimate fretless CK C
Hi Chris, I often go to London for session work. If you are in the London area it wouldn´t be a problem to hook up somewhere where they have an amp, so you could try it out. The thing is that I´m really broke- and desperate. I´ve sworn twice over never to depart with this baby so I would really like to end my pains as soon as possible.
 7.
Hi batukarma Welcome to BC. Where are you based? Also, are there any fret markers/dots on the upper edge of the neck, and if so, are they in line with the lines or the dots on the fretboard? Chris
Hi Chris, Thank you very much. I´m sorry I skipped the introduction, but I´m new to the site and didn´t quite grasp the etiquette. I´m based in Copenhagen - infact just around the corner from Celinders workshop. Which I guess explaines the fact that I´ve gone through so many of his bases. Up untill the last few years there was always a ready supply and I´ve always endorsed his work. The the dots on the egde of the neck are placed in 60´s Jaco-style and are in line with the dots on the fingerboard and the fret markers are visable from a playing position aswell. Please don´t hesitate to ask if you have any further question /Peter

 9.
Vintage?
I meant to say "vintage" as in when you pick up a bass that is light and resonant and just feels like it´s been played so much that it has reached it´s musical potential. I know vintage usually is a temporal definition, so maybe it is a bad choice of words
 10.
We have for sale section you know, it's also nice if new members would say hello first in the introductions thread, otherwise people might view you as an opportunist trying to take advantage of the market place without contributing anything at all. Not to mention it doesn't help your credibility. Yes, I'm in a bad mood as I got little sleep, but my points still count.
Point taken!! I realized straight afterwards that it was posted in the wrong section. No harm intended, I assure you.
 11.
Beautiful looking instrument. Forgive my ignorance (because it is just that), but has this been de-fretted?
Hi Ben, No, it was always a fretless. I know this because I know the original owner who is quite a big name in DK, plus I got the history of the bass of Chris.
