1978 Fender jazz in faded olimpc white, as expected the body has a few dings and paint chips and is far from shiny in parts. The scratch plate is original and has S8 serial number on the back, the pick ups and pots are in very good working order and giving you every sound you would expect from a jazz bass.

Ive given the bass a full set up inculding fret dress, the truss rod works as it should do with as much adjustment as you need with out over tightening, and the finger board and frets are very clean, basicaly the bits you want to work on this istrument, work very well. As it is the foam below the pickups has perished and the bridge pickup could do with being raised, can sort that!

Now, the down side to this is its waight, its heavy but its never been an issue to me because ive always enjoyed playing it, i can waigh it on request but i seem to be lacking in scales right now. Its fantasic sounding bass, very deep and growly also honkey everything you would expect! Also it does not have an original case but i can provide one plus shipping

If you have any question feel free to fire away at the moment im looking for SOLD!

Looks great though, good luck with it!

I've found my weight tolerance for Fender Basses is much higher due to the distribution/balance I reckon I could haul a 10lb fender over my usual 9lb preferance. Martin's a top bloke as well (works for Overwater, or did?? So you know its going to have flawless playability). I really like the aged finish but I know i'd still buy a brown Tortoise Shell plate to compare against the black. Rosewood Fingerboard with blocks :)

That is the absolute dogs undercarriage! I'd even be prepared to trade my Pentabuzz for it! (hint hint).

Stunning! I've been looking at a re-finished '76 Jazz (without the original neck plate) and maple neck. £1500 is a very fair price for an original '70's Jazz in this condition. I'll be winning the lottery on Wednesday and I'll get back to you then!

Good luck, great Bass.
This is sweet.

I'm tempted to flog my Geddy Lee and get a proper 70s Jazz!

Still available?
Still available, and ive just waighed it in at 5kg so i make that 11 pounds!

Thanks for all your comments.
