I sympathize with the OP's situation, but am struck by the absence of any sympathy in this thread for the singer who is not well, requiring at least one operation. Personally, for $13 I'd just buy one rather than spend time looking to a save a couple of dollars. Also: Are you sure you mean a momentary switch. This will change state only while you're holding it. If you want to push it in and it stay in then you want a 'stayput' switch, which you'd then pull out, or a toggling switch that will change state every time you press it.

Beer is water based, so I'd go with Phil's water suggestion. If you have any IPA (The alcohol not the beer!) then id' follow it up with a spray of that which will displace the water and evaporate quickly. Let it dry thoroughly, and you'll probably be OK. Water will not hurt the electronic components - companies that reclaim & resell old PCBs are known to put them in a domestic dishwasher as a first step to get all the muck off.

I have a DBS7400 amp and it's immense! 400 watts RMS but with a peak of 4Kw. It also sounds good superb in an easily controllable way, and the valve/SS pre-amp blending actually makes a difference (unlike, in my experiance,a lot of the modern valve pre-amp amplifiers). However, I also have an LM3 which sounds pretty good at a fraction of the weight.

As a general rule you can multiply the LED wattage by 8 to 10 to get an [i]idea[/i] of the equivalent GLS Watts (Standard filament bulb), so 30 watts LED would be like 240 - 300 Watts of standard bulb. However the technology is moving quickly. Ifyou buy new current units you might get better than this. If you buy second hand and over 5 or so years old probably somewhat less.

Attaching helium balloons (available from all good street vendors) might be a better alternative. Just remember not to tie the balloons to the handles!

I had not heard of the Doobie brothers until I cam home from the pub and Whistle test had some film of the Doobies (Eyes of silver I think, and something else) - Vices had just been released, and I went all the way to Shrewsbury (23 miles) to buy it the next day. Which is the only time I've done something like that. Cracking band.
