New Zoom B3
1) yes, there's a patch change mode. Holding down one of the foot switches puts it in that mode. 2) you can select from several different cab models. 8x10, 1x15 a couple of different 4x10...
Great, thanks. Is the cab sim another FX slot or is it part of the amp sim?

New Zoom B3

Couple of quick questions to those players using these. 1) Is it quick enough to change between patches mid song? i.e. could you set up a clean patch and a dirty patch and switch back and forth between the two? 2) Do the amp sims include a cab sim to roll off the top end? With relation to running fuzz and distortion into a PA. Thanks
3.
New interview! Shep on Bass - Interview: Si Francis
Interesting. Thanks!
4. I have an sp210 also with wooden feet. I've always assumed that it's stock.
5. Saw this today, great playing. Just bass and cajon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r0AMMEEVro Love the idea of a bass, percussion and vocal band.
6. Will watch this one with interest. Extra suggestions would be local music press and other web platforms like band camp and soundcloud
7.
rOB off the forums rig when we went and played with Madam Fade down in Leicester (cheers Rob )
You're very welcome
8. Just saw this today and thought it was worth posting as an example of cajon & cymbals in a heavier musical context. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1TyWzJpF4M
9. I expect a few people round here (including me) would be interested in his rig is any info is around?

Less frets
How many frets you need depends on what you want to play. For me 19 would be fine most of the time because when I am playing high up on the neck I'm normally playing drones on an open string at the same time, so 19 frets gets me open D and D two octaves higher on the G string at the same time. If I'm going to be using anymore frets I'll want 24 as that gets me open D and then G two octaves and a fifth above. However the other thing to consider is that more frets will make some of the lower ones easier to access. A 20 fret neck might be plenty of frets but you have to remember that access to the ones above the 15th fret is hampered by the neck joint. A 24 fret bolt-on neck will get you better access to more frets.
Well said that man.
11.
yeh works very well....
Sounds great
12. Now that looks very interesting. Does the frequency splitter work well for bass?
13. Any updates on this thread? New products? More experiences?
14. Hartke B150? http://www.samsontech.com/hartke/products/combos/b-series-combos/b150/
15. Do you want a combo? Or just the amp head?
16. Could someone explain in very simple layman's terms why having the head on the floor is dangerous? High voltage? Thanks in advance.
17. I had an OTB500 + SP210, sold the amp, kept the cab. Small, easy to carry easily loud enough for stage monitoring or small gigs. Plus its orange!
18. I've been wondering the same thing so will be watching this thread with interest. I suppose the main risk is that the amp gets kicked or spilled on
19.
Have some easy way to angle it upwards whilst still allowing an amp to perched on top. Perhaps related to that: some way to semi-permanently secure a ...
A big plus 1 to this
20. I use an sp210 with a gk mb500. To my ears it works. So portable.
21. Glad things are looking better.
22. Nice one Ashdown. Glad OP got sorted quick and easy.
23. Think I broke a g string once 5 or so years ago. Even so I'd always have spare strings and usually a spare bass on stage.
24. How frustrating. I've been wanting to try a barefaced cab for ages and as soon as I move to New Zealand they come up at these great prices! Have a bump on me. Best of luck with the sale
